But I see what you mean by calling this show _Frasier_ disrespectful since it was so theatrical and full of genuinely artistic comedy unlike more recent and boring sitcoms.
It's such a great piece of direction having the camera slow pan across as each person looks at one another it gives them a moment of connection that if it had chopped up in editing wouldn't have had the same effect
When no one reacts to someone choking and you automatically KNOW that they were fine with her dying rather than assume they must not have noticed, should tell you they are a horrible person who you shouldn't be with.
Actually, I was being facetious. Chuckles the Clown's death was off-camera, a news story, and the episode danced adroitly between truly mourning his tragic death and finding humor in the circumstances. That juxtaposition is what made the episode phenomenal. Still, I never liked the the character of Julia on Frasier, not merely as the character she was written to be, but as a presence in the show. I thought both her and the character of Lana were just unpleasant to watch, and, other than Lana's first episode, I thought the characters detracted from the show and contributed nothing.
Julia makes me cringe. My blood just boils watching this episode and truly developing feelings of hatred towards this character and then thinking the actress may be just like her because of how well she portrays such an arrogant, rude, and disgraceful human being. I love this show and I almost have to turn off this episode each time it comes on. I’ve never even left a comment on RUclips before but felt the need to after watching this episode again 😂 i was relieved i could find some random place to vent even if no one reads this. Ha! That is all.

While this is funny, I wanted to punch Frasier's teeth in for being such a self-righteous whiner-- 'you might as well ask me to describe the essence of music or the color of starlight!' GAG. And, a minor nitpick, but it always bugged me--as an MD, Frasier should -*-know-*- this: if she's managing to make noise, like choking or gagging, that means that she is able to pass air, and therefore is -*-ABLE TO BREATHE-*--- and any effort to assist might well have made things worse, by dislodging the object to where it can't be removed by ANY means. If she's still coughing, best to let her try to hack it up on her own-- if she can't, THEN move in to help, but not before. I haven't had a day of medical training in my life, and I knew that.

They were much more apologetic that time Fraiser kept reminding them he had been punched by a man who was now dead.
The look on Martin’s face when Fraser accuses them of ignoring the situation. Priceless.
This is one of my favorite episodes, Everyone's reactions to her and then how Fraiser kicks her out at the end is just priceless.
That "Shame on you" was epic.
