Shin Jihoon has proven that she CAN dance and doesn't need to be in the skating ring to make that splendid twirl! And of course our maknae Joohyun would do great! Both were trained in Cube and theres no doubt that they can deliver great live performances! ❤❤❤
RE:Shin Jihoon- I am really upset that when she was first signed they did not give her dancing lessons(or didn't appear to do so) even if you still have her sit and sing(like she did for both songs she released) at least get the ball rolling sure JYP would say it's too late for her to learn to be a superstar dancer but if they started when they signed her she would have at least a year of practice it's her fault also for not working at it
After having saw the unit episode 5..i gotta say i am really rooting for NC.A. The way she was constantly (they even made fun of her because she was non-stop practicing on the episode) practicing dancing because she knew she wasn't good at it, she's really hardworking. I hope she wins the show/succeed in her career, she deserves it.
I liked Shin Ji hoon's triple axel and Lee Juhyun did well but its pretty clear that NC.A is a class above anyone else. She deserves to be in the final group.
Why are all CUBE trainees & ex trainees on SM & JYP level when it comes to dancing ? Shit is crazy. The current CUBE trainee slayed and the ex CUBE trainee did a triple axel. CUBE management is underrated for the talent they possess. And is the girl slaying the high notes with the short black bob, is her name NC.A ? Cuz she saved this performance. She gave it GFriend with her expressions and vocals
Cube has one of the highest standard of debuting idol in term of skill and talent So basically if a trainees considered as "not debut worthy" they will not let them debut.
Basically Cube debuts good idols then makes them rot in the dungeons... Also, not support their idols when they get heat from the public, and instead they throw them out...
Out of all of the Rough covers on competition shows, i haven't found one that's 'better' than the original (vocals + choreo wise). I'm really impressed by the choreo for this cover than the one in idol school. Especially during that amazing twirl & the high kick during the dance break. But i liked the high notes in the Idol School cover more. But only the high notes, the rest of the vocals weren't so impressive. Seems like for this song, it's really HARD to be good in both dancing & singing. Makes me wonder how difficult it is to perform this. I think this is why i have so much respect for gfriend..
I have no doubt about gfriend's talents tbh but gfriend got plenty of time to practice this song. So if these girls and idol school girls got the same amount of time i think they can do better. No offense.
Idol school performance was way better than this. I mean, Eunsuh's doing Yuju's dance was really great and Nayeon high note was amazing... Here for sure are some great components but it doesn't have a great energy overall. Last point, you'll never find a cover of a song that's as good as the original
sfs040 I personally feel the high kick and twirl doesnt go with the feel of the song. One of the key points of Rough is the balance between the soft but powerful moves. I think they look hard and not as elegant as Gfriend does it.
Remember that this is a live performance with only instrumental (no adlibs etc) unlike normal music shows and these girls had to learn by themselves without the help of the choreographer teacher due to the situation so props to them for giving the performance of the night (Unit G side anyway)
All the stages for this mission were done on instrumentals only! They did not go to the studio to even record a chorus backtrack, adlip, nothing. A true live stage guys. The Matilda girls were talking about how surprised they were on vapp, they are a vocal group and they don't even perform like that on stage.

NC.A Awesome vocals as always. Overall this was okay.

I agree. I think she has been concentrating on improving her dancing and wishing to stay a little bit in the back. Her choice I mean. I do wish the show would highlight just how much she has improved in dancing but... I think she could have done about the same as NC.A singing wise. But singing, dancing, being a center might have overwhelmed her if she had tried it. Time will tell. My guess is that at some point we will see her do that. She's high enough in the standing she won't get cut at the first cutoff (whenever that is) Hopefully they have one or two more rounds before they start cutting.

After having saw the unit episode 5..i gotta say i am really rooting for NC.A. The way she was constantly (they even made fun of her because she was non-stop practicing on the episode) practicing dancing because she knew she wasn't good at it, she's really hardworking. I hope she wins the show/succeed in her career, she deserves it.
I liked Shin Ji hoon's triple axel and Lee Juhyun did well but its pretty clear that NC.A is a class above anyone else. She deserves to be in the final group.

Why are all CUBE trainees & ex trainees on SM & JYP level when it comes to dancing ? Shit is crazy. The current CUBE trainee slayed and the ex CUBE trainee did a triple axel. CUBE management is underrated for the talent they possess.
And is the girl slaying the high notes with the short black bob, is her name NC.A ? Cuz she saved this performance. She gave it GFriend with her expressions and vocals
Cube has one of the highest standard of debuting idol in term of skill and talent
So basically if a trainees considered as "not debut worthy" they will not let them debut.
SuperBlueRock K-POP's Top Ranking she did save the performance and held them up.
Basically Cube debuts good idols then makes them rot in the dungeons... Also, not support their idols when they get heat from the public, and instead they throw them out...

Out of all of the Rough covers on competition shows, i haven't found one that's 'better' than the original (vocals + choreo wise). I'm really impressed by the choreo for this cover than the one in idol school. Especially during that amazing twirl & the high kick during the dance break. But i liked the high notes in the Idol School cover more. But only the high notes, the rest of the vocals weren't so impressive. Seems like for this song, it's really HARD to be good in both dancing & singing. Makes me wonder how difficult it is to perform this. I think this is why i have so much respect for gfriend..
i couldn't agree more...i am still looking forward hopefully a better cover that could give me a goosebump.
I have no doubt about gfriend's talents tbh but gfriend got plenty of time to practice this song. So if these girls and idol school girls got the same amount of time i think they can do better. No offense.
Idol school performance was way better than this. I mean, Eunsuh's doing Yuju's dance was really great and Nayeon high note was amazing...
Here for sure are some great components but it doesn't have a great energy overall.
Last point, you'll never find a cover of a song that's as good as the original
yes I thought this was pretty messy, individually some of them were good
sfs040 I personally feel the high kick and twirl doesnt go with the feel of the song. One of the key points of Rough is the balance between the soft but powerful moves. I think they look hard and not as elegant as Gfriend does it.

They are good friends. You can google for it. Actually, Umji was casted while eating with Hyunjoo. The latter on the other hand auditioned for DSP.
Remember that this is a live performance with only instrumental (no adlibs etc) unlike normal music shows and these girls had to learn by themselves without the help of the choreographer teacher due to the situation so props to them for giving the performance of the night (Unit G side anyway)
and don't forget the fact that Lee Joohyun is their dance teacher

All the stages for this mission were done on instrumentals only! They did not go to the studio to even record a chorus backtrack, adlip, nothing. A true live stage guys. The Matilda girls were talking about how surprised they were on vapp, they are a vocal group and they don't even perform like that on stage.

Honest opinion, Chahee should've sang more She is a great vocalist her Twinkle vocals was quite good. Yeonkyung great as well but at some point she cant reach some notes a bit forcing. NC.A Awesome vocals as always. Overall this was okay.

I agree. I think she has been concentrating on improving her dancing and wishing to stay a little bit in the back. Her choice I mean. I do wish the show would highlight just how much she has improved in dancing but... I think she could have done about the same as NC.A singing wise. But singing, dancing, being a center might have overwhelmed her if she had tried it. Time will tell. My guess is that at some point we will see her do that. She's high enough in the standing she won't get cut at the first cutoff (whenever that is) Hopefully they have one or two more rounds before they start cutting.
