Documents needed
1. Your passport
2. Your ticket
3. Pet picture, description (weight, breed)
4. Civil aviation letter (agency will not help with this, you must collect it from civil aviation office). In my case I had to write an application to the chairman of BD civil aviation to request for approval for my pet.
5. Booking reservation confirmation for your pet. Both direct and connecting flight. For me it was Turkish and Air Canada.
6. Papers agency will prepare for you
• Letter from livestock
• Veterinary certificate
• Parasite treatment confirmation
• Microchip certificate
• Vaccination record
People to be contacted
1. Civil Aviation for permission letter, without that you cannot book your pets seat on the plane, you can only take her in cargo.
2. Pet agency (I contacted Pet Services BD limited)
3. Turkish airline for reserving the seat for your pet after you get civil’s permission.
4. Local airline if there is connecting flight. I contacted air Canada.

Check the Turkish website for restrictions. If they have any kind of restrictions it will be there. And my cat was not Persian. I believe they have restrictions for Persian as they have respiratory problem. But check on the website

Breakdown is given, for total just add all the cost and also I just brought one cat so that's the cost for per cat. All the other expenditures also given😅

Bhaiya ,I'll say that before you try cargo you must try to bring your baby with you. Everyone, including the agent told me that I cannot get permission from civil. But I was determined that there is no other way for me. The day I landed at BD, I went to the aviation office because only had 9 days. You go there talk to them in person, take all the papers, and then apply. If you get permission tahole to best ar na peleo to it's just the same documents so you don't have any loss trying. Amar total 3days jawa lagse. But after I submitted the documents, I got the approval within 2 days. I convinced them that I only had 9 days to do it as urgently as possible. Please try your best! You will get it.

Yes . The procedure is almost the same but you can check with airline and vet for confirmation.

Nothing! They just checked the papers, for cat space you have to pay if Turkish. Then they'll just let you go with your pet.

Yes more or less similar Niben. As long as it fits and the bag including pet does not exceed 8 kg you’ll be fine .

For cats, only turkish allow korto jokhon ami ashi. Tar age Qatar airline o korto but after covid, the stopped. You have to call the airlines, search on their website and contact pet agent.❤️

In 2 months definitely. The agent takes 1 month to prepare all the documents.
For the approval from civil, it's unpredictable. You should apply soon after getting the papers from the agent. They saw that I only had 9 days to leave BD, and I just came for 9 days so it took only 2 days.
After getting the approval from the civil the airline will give you permission immediately if there is space for your pet in the plane (means they have limitations on how many can fly in one flight).

Can anyone share travelling with the cat to NZ, as I have very hard decision to be made to take my cat with me, travelling from Eastern Europe, and if it is true that Emirates Airlines do not allow pets on board, I am very nervous about it but I will never leave my cat, considering that there is a war in my country, plese someone share your experience, especially all the preparation and procedure, thanks.
