I find the hardest thing to “clean up” is doing something with the fabrics leftover from a major quilting project. Need to clean these up in order to start a new project!❤ Congratulations Billy!
Please show Chelsi’s purple quilt, I’m dying with anticipation! I bought some purples, 5 different ones from seashore drive in case they will mix well! ❤
lol, in my sewing room as I speak continuing with my spring cleaning . Started a few days ago with spring cleaning. I'm a morning person so usually sewing from 4 am until 7 am. Then I start my day.
You may have touched on this already….but, I’d love to hear how you hang all your quilts in your homes! The ability to swap with different size quilts without making more holes in the wall would be great.
I love hearing your cleaning stories, it’s real life and we all have to do it!
👏👏👏 😳😝🤔🤣🤣 ❤️😀
I'm kinda glad I'm alone in the house. I'm working out listening and laughing at you guys. Out loud!!!
Yes! I spent January cleaning my room and it opened up my creativity! Before that, I would look in and get overwhelmed and close the door
Oh my gosh… bundles of seashore drive would make so many happy. It’s one of my favorite releases.❤
I have a neighbor with several quilt tops from a now deceased relative. I took one and had to stitch new hexagons over 3 that were shredding and I had a fabric that went well with the top and quilted and bound it for her. She washed it on gentle and loves how it turned out.
Great podcast!! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding Billy and Isabella!!
Your talk about different styles of cleaning styles reminded me of the Clutter Bug (on you tube) - she talks about different styles of how we keep our things I.e. ladybug, butterfly, bee and cricket-there is a quiz you can take to see which organizing style you have. It’s interesting to take. Love your podcast -
I love your mini, thank you for making it available. 😍
I’m trying to get my WIPs and UFOs sorted out and put all in one place so I can get working on them. Wish me luck!!!😂
Oh my, yes! Do a project with Strawberry Lemonade HST. I did the botanical remix kit and saved all my cut corners. I too use them as my leaders and enders. I now have over 200! Please do and share your project, Sherri!
I had to laugh! I just bought (found!!) a fat eighth bundle of Seashore Drive! The colors make me happy! Oh the possibilities of what to make!!! 💕❤️💕
Loved this episode. I'm also sort of the middle organized child. Actually, I'm one of 10 but there was 1 boy, then 3 girls, then 5 boys, and the youngest is a girl. I am the middle of the 3 girls and I was always the one cleaning up and organizing. My mom actually had to move me to share a room with the youngest girl because I was always getting after my other two sisters to clean up. Unfortunately, the youngest ended up being the messiest. I love when my sewing room is all organized and clean. But it is sometimes a wreck!
Wish you could do a tutorial on using left over half square triangles. Enjoy your podcasts. Thanks
Oh wow I love seashore drive!!! Y’all need to do that I’m a buyer chelsie
Instead of keeping fabric bundles, make a mini quilt. Just cut each fabric in small squares, sew the colors rainbow style then put in a picture frame and hang. Then you can see them everyday and enjoy.
❤️. Oh how I love watching your videos. It puts a smile on my face for the whole day. I have yet to find my perfect way of organizing my sewing. But I’m getting there. Just bought some containers to store my scraps 2 1/2, 3 1/2 squares and so on. It’s a start. Have a great week. ❤
Don’t feel bad Chelsi! My Valentine quilts are still hanging on the wall and over the stair railing. Who knows when I’ll change them! 😂
Well I gotta tell ya, I’m behind 😜
That is behind on a whole lotta life!
I still have a little Christmas hangin around, but what’s left looks more like Winter- mini trees, snow, pinecones etc.
my husband mentioned that Winter is over, I’m like ya I’ll get to it, pretty soon we’ll be out of Spring🤣🤣🤣
Also behind on your videos🙃
Anyway, awesome chattin today!
Congratulations and Best Wishes
✝️🙏🏻🥂❤️😀
Congratulations Billy please show pictures of your weeding
Yes!!!
Agreed❤❤
Hi Sherri, Chelsi and Billy. Wet and raining 🌧️ Brisbane Queensland Australia 🇦🇺
Beautiful quilts!
You are moving up fast to 100K subscribers..
Congratulations Billy. I always laugh so hard in March at Daylight Savings Time! PEOPLE it's one hour of sleep! Love your episodes. Mary Rose
Listener question: I would love to know, and possibly see exactly what size scraps you are saving in your aqua bin. Would love for you to bring in your aqua bin and let us have a look. Unfortunately, I have been saving everything!
Spring has not yet arrived in Ontario. I missed this video yesterday, so I am watching on Tuesday,
Can you share how you hang the quilt on the wall behind you two ladies?
Billy what is your podcast called?
Also do you have any tips on making flying geese? I love you guys.
Congratulations to you Billy. I wonder if you will be blessed with a beautiful quilt for a wedding gift!?
Even my “junk” drawer is organized 😂.
I'm still watching but wanted to comment before I forget! I also had a double wedding ring top I got at an estate sale. It was made with a green background where this one is red. I'd never seen one made with green. I've had it for several years & while trying to go thru tops & culling out items in my sewing room, I came across it. I did have some unbleached muslin & used that for the backing. Had it quilted & while I was adding the binding noticed a few spots of brown on it. I washed it in the washing machine & almost all came out. Of course, after the washing, the quilt now looks more puckered & "old". It was hand pieced & I wouldn't have even attempted washing it in the tub for fear of it coming apart in places 😊 I love it so much & now use it on the back of the couch!!
I have the kit and the box is just as pretty as the contents
Thanks!
I am finding myself not motivated when my space is not clean. Once I start cleaning, I also find myself parting with fabrics and scraps. Then I will start moving furniture around. When I'm done is when I will potentially start new quilt top. Somewhere in the middle of all this I do work on a "small project. 😊
I’m late here in Switzerland but glad to see you all
I feel like Chelsi with this past winter. I barely got up my Valentine stuff & never got my Easter stuff out & on my walls & table. Too sick, still sick. Loved the show. Maybe I will just put the summer stuff up now, LOL.
Well I sure hope things brighten up for you!!! Go for a refreshing summer vibe.
🥰❤️😀
👍❤️🙂
Could you make available some honey buns in strawberry lemonade? I have not been able to find any in this line.
I'm trying to decide how to display quilts in my living room. Chelsi, could you share a picture of your cabinet?
Oooh, a wedding, how exciting! When is the wedding?
It’s snowing here in Timmins Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
I have plastic bins full if fabric stacked in my closet. I do not have the room to organize everything
I tidy up my sewing room at the end of sewing time each day. I like walking into the room the next day and seeing it is organized and ready to start sewing again. I like to start with a "clean slate". I find that doing it this way only takes a few minutes if I do it every day. Otherwise, it can be a bit daunting to have to clean it after it's been let go. Chelsi, I am with you on trimming half square triangles. Is there any way to NOT have to do this?? Love your designs. Hoping we might see some patterns using precuts in the future.
For the box botanical remix do you add extra fabrics for starching?
????how do you decide which quilter to send projects to? Is it based oh design of quilting or purely availability? Or something else????
I want the Tulip and Vine pattern, please tell me how I can buy it or download it,
Are you both doing a quilt for Billy?
Yes I’m dying to know too!
Love your show, Chelsi, I need a mother of the bride dress.....please HELP send me the link
I need one too! For 2025
Do what Kimberly Jolly Does, pay your children to do "quilty things" Chelsi are any of your children old enough to help with anything quilting? Like trimming? Chelsi Alaska has more depressed people in the late fall and winter than any other state becuse of the darkness. Many of them get "Sunshine Lights" that simulate daybreak, mornings and and afternoons with Sunshine in your house to help despell depression.
👏👏👏 yep great ideas! ❤️😀
LOL All of our Christmas decorations are in bright red totes under my longarm table.🧵🪡🎄⛪️
