This video mentioned that over prescribing antibiotics makes the problem of antibiotic resistant pathogens worse. It didn't mention that most antibiotics are used in animal agriculture for nothing more than increasing their profits! One more reason to boycott animal products.
"Antibiotics and farming. Worldwide it is estimated that 66% of all antibiotics are used in farm animals, not people. Much of this use is routine, and enables farm animals, most often pigs and poultry but sometimes also cattle, to be kept in poor conditions where disease spreads easily."-SaveOurAntibiotics (organization)
Can you refute any of these compelling reasons to boycott animal products?
1-Your own health (vegans are less likely to get the most common chronic, deadly diseases)
2-Helping to end animal agriculture would reduce the chance of another pandemic & other zoonotic diseases
3-Helping to end animal ag would reduce the chance of the development of an antibiotic resistant pathogen.
4-Animal ag wastes a huge amount of fresh water. Each vegan saves 219,000 gallons of water every year!
5-Animal ag is a major cause of water pollution
6-Animal ag is a major cause of deforestation
7-Animal ag increases PTSD and spousal abuse in the people who work in slaughterhouses. Workers in meat packing facilities often endure terrible, dangerous working conditions.
8-Animal ag is a major cause of the loss of habitat and biodiversity
9-Needless killing of innocent, sentient beings cannot be ethically justified.
10- It is the single most effective way for each of us to fight climate change and environmental degradation.
11- Longer lifespan.
12- Healthier weight (vegans were the only dietary group in the Adventist Studies that had an average BMI in the recommended range.)
13- A healthy plant based diet significantly reduces the chances of ED later in life, and even 1 meal can improve bedroom performance
14- Vegetarians and vegans have lower rates of dementia later in life
15- A plant based diet could save money! You could reduce your food budget by one third!
16-A fully plant based diet improves the immune system according to a study published in the journal BMJ Nutrition Prevention & Health
17-A fully plant based food system would greatly reduce food borne illnesses like salmonella
18-A fully plant based food system would be able to feed millions more people. Our population is growing!
19-A fully plant based food system would save 13,000 lives a year from the air pollution caused by animal agriculture, according to a study
20- A vegan world would save 8 million human lives a year, and $1 trillion in health care and related costs (Oxford Study)
Links for some of these are at my channel under "About."
If you doubt any of them, I would be glad to cite evidence from credible sources to back them up. RUclips only allows a certain number of links at my channel.
After I made my list, I found this video with his own list which overlaps mine. He cites evidence from credible sources in the description.

@@someguy2135 TL:DR
YESS exactly
The greed of humans will lead to the destruction of all humanity.
Captain obvious says "Good work fine citizen!"
I remember when MRSA was presented as "the flesh eating bacteria", now I literally have MRSA patients in the hospital without an isolation cart. I never saw it personally.
The flesh eating is VRSA , not MRSA
Relevant today
From 2004...
"That's not fair to the shareholders." Words that condemn countless lives to death.
Until they get really sick and need an antibiotic. Then let's see how unfair it is.
That's the price we pay for capitalist healthcare. Don't get me wrong, capitalism does a lot of things very well. It has very much changed our world and resulted in a higher standard of living for society. That said, is it a perfect tool that should be applied to every problem that exists within every facet of society? If you have a tool belt, are all things fixed by using a hammer? The hammer of capitalism? I know that capitalism is the lord and savior of many, and they would be appalled that any alternate solution should ever be uttered, but as I grow older, I almost wonder if tools such as capitalism are very good for some things, but dangerously bad for other things in society.
Since I was a child, I've never used anything on cuts, never even cleaned them, and I've had some serious cuts and injuries. Now, as an adult, I never get sick. People don't need most of the medicines pushed on them. It's far better to build a natural immunity to infections.
The problem is the animals we eat are pumped full of antibiotics and then humans eat those animals…
So humans would need organic animals in order to be truly free of antibiotics
Im a hospital nurse - we give patients vancomycin routinely like no big deal without first getting a culture to find out what they actually have we are using it on everything. Then outpatient rich ppl get a zpack just by texting their dr. and poor ppl who are actually sick get refused antibiotics bc of “resistance”…theyre restricting in the wrong way
Vanco is so overused. Docs need to grow a spine to educate and say no to patients or people will start dying by the thousands pretty soon.
I wonder if this could have anything to do with feeding millions of tons of antibiotics to all of our chicken beef and fish around the world....Naaah...
Always about Shareholder. Loads of antibiotics in all meat an dairy product dont help resistant.
not true. read usda website n federal laws please.
I hope Fauci tested the bacteria on beagles to keep us all safe.
we should test it on fauci
What about all the antibiotics in our meat?
🍯 honey?
Old interviews they package as new
Oh you haven’t heard, people are all geniuses now, no need for anything that makes sense, their gunna do the whole go rogue story now.
Oohhhh thank Jeebus that I noticed the 2004 stamp lol 😂 !!!!!!
I was gonna say, I've been hearing about MRSA and overuse of antibiotics for like 15 years now 0_o
Iam workig with close contacts to sewage and i naw have ilness It doesnt reacts for any antybiotics. The bugs from smear swabs reacts on antybiotics alhoe when i take the antibiotics they dont reac -( Bugs reacts on anbiotics in smears but dont react on anybtics in m body. :(
10:57 A younger Fauci and 11:24 a president Bush ??? This is an old story isn't it ??? No doubt still valid of course. I guess that's why they call it rewind. Or remake on the cheap.
Yes, @the start of the piece says May 2004.
Y'all really put this nonsense up from 19 years ago? Doing an update too hard for y'all?
Anti--biotics 🤣🤣 how about probiotics!
We need "super natural immunity" to all bacteria and all viruses.
When my sone had Leukemia he got MRSA through his central line.
Point of view
It should be taken regularly then the bacteria will be dead
I'm just one booster away from a new human species ! Now super Bacteria when will the fun end '
Just nuke these super bugs!
Trump said we can drink bleach to cure infections. Why don't we put him in charge
This a bigger problem than society is knowledgeable about. People should avoid hospitals at all costs. Take probiotics rather than antibiotics. Please push coverage of this issue more. Please, for the survival of humanity. ✌️🤙😇
Most cases are now community acquired cases.
First!
For this? You’d want to be first for this?

@@MysticiaDevHoopsMacabre it's a timely reminder that if we think covid hanging around and mutating is bad, that's the tip of the iceberg. This first aired under baby bush. Many covid drugs are failing now, too
@@MysticiaDevHoopsMacabre What did you think about my comment which was second in chronological order to the one you commented on? Should we boycott animal products to reduce the problem of antibiotic resistance?
@@someguy2135 It’s a controversial thing, but I think it would be a step in the right direction. Problem is, Meat makes up like half of America’s diet so unless there are plans to seriously hold companies accountable, they won’t ensure that our meat products continue to be safe and not infectious hazards.
Why
Don’t they invent better antibiotics!. How about you also let nurses know they are NOT doctors and should stop giving unwanted advice!.. the are assistance staff that’s it
This people make 100s of billions and 1 billions is to much to find a new cure
LISTEN 🧏🏽♀️ If you watch this and take the phrase “resistant STAFF” literally … the entire report takes on a new and more REALITY BASED line of reporting about what MRSA is.
Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) have a four or five year old sound out to read this clinical term so you can HEAR what this actually says.🙄🗑🚮🧾🚨🚔⚖️
