I saw the first two shows of Star Wars in 1977. Myself and two friends skipped out of high school to go see it. When the Death Star blew up, the audience gave a standing ovation. I've never seen another movie that got that kind of reaction.
"I saw the 1st Star Wars film in 1977 and have watched all of them, several times, as they came out and many times since. Yes, some movies and certain elements were much better than others. But to me, it's grand opera on a galactic scale and I'm glad to have been an observer of the adventure. " - Boba Fett
As a kid growing up I remember the first ever time I watched a Movie... it was 'Jurassic Park' 🦖 and it was on a DVD player. The excitement I felt as my Dad put in the movie and cooking up popcorn was amazing... I remember our old house having 4 bookshelves filled with DVD's or Blueray and it was heaven, browsing the different movies right in my own home was a feeling I couldn't forget. Now as I am 16 I just get to watch those movies on Hulu, or Netflix. (Yes back then we had Netflix as this story started around 2012 *BUT* it was the only thing we had and ngl I want to go back to those days, just repeating the same movie over and over again in just one day was a thing I loved)
That blockbuster video was sad. I honestly miss it alot. soooo many good memories. Only bad ones were playing video games as fast as possible, or rewinding vhs lol. Well until they had dvds. You guys remember when dvds came out? Or cds? I LOVED my portable cd player. Used to destroy computers maxing mix tapes off limewire to sell at school for ten bucks a piece
I wasn’t born before 2004 I went to Blockbuster and it was a pretty good place and you describe everything perfectly. I still remember some of those days sometimes I missed it.😢
Love going back through these memories. Regarding the target practice, I stand by what I said in a different video and would have gone for my S-5, with duo magnification and cooling cell.
I may not have had blockbuster growing up, but I do remember when you had to rent a DVD from Netflix and it came in the mail. I watched all the Harry Potter movies like that. And I remember red-box. those were the days.
I can remember before VCR was a thing, you typically went to a theater. Than VCRs became common, and the first place near us to rent movies, was a zenith appliance store. Eventually small rental places came about, and eventually blockbuster. DVD eventually replaced VHS, and eventually HD DVD, and Blu-ray. Digital streaming is now the latest way to watch......well anything. Technology improves the convenience for sure, but there's some inconveniences of not actually owning a hard copy, and rentals were great for determining if a movie or game, was worth actually buying a hard copy of. Like all things, there's always a good and bad, but convenience usually wins over people.
i remember none of your business first became a thing and block buster along with vhs tapes and the first ipod i remember all of these things i feel so old
Heading for the thermal exhaust Port I was literally going to leave the comment I know where you're heading with this right before that was said unbelievable
28:46- I grew up with Blockbuster but I really wasn’t a fan the older I got. Because eventually I realized that the new movie were never there! If you found 1 copy of a “new” movie you were lucky! Even if it’s not a movie you wanted to see! Plus we were kinda broke when I was a kid so trips there were very rare and even if we could pick out 2 or 3 movies that time around we couldn’t get any candy from them! But that was fine because we got to watch movies that we wanted to that weekend! Yes I love all the options I have nowadays but that just makes it harder to pick something to watch now! But all in all I still wouldn’t want to go back to the BB days! So yeah, have a great day!!!
There is 1 video that is not Star Wars related...you'll see it if you watch all the way through!

These are the best. Great production value and animation. Thank you so much for posting.

Is this a reference to Rey being Palpatine’s granddaughter?
Darth Revan appearing on the death star to get Subway is the most canon thing to happen.
Vader after slaughtering a whole village of pokemon :
I killed them I killed them all, not just the pokemen, but the pokewomen and the pokechildren.
Best stormtrooper star wars
At Blockbuster in the back round there was the Death Star.

I like the Darth Vader animation
The fact that I legitimately looked in the description for C3POOOOO’s link
why does the E-11 blaster look like the DC-15A Blaster but with a visor on top
Was the Darth Maul speech from that one movie with Benedict cumberbatch when he’s talking over the phone?
When your boss calls was awkward
I still watch my Star Wars Special Edition box set VHS tapes on my VCR.
I Love you Larry
For movie night, I always prefer N&Ns and trixes.
Hello early gang
Born 12-11-1983 makes me feel old. L.O.L.
I grew up with Blockbuster. Was born way back in 73 so I experienced all of those things. Like I tell people I was born before computers.
Heading for the thermal exhaust Port I was literally going to leave the comment I know where you're heading with this right before that was said unbelievable

at 9:26 I see darth maul and kal cestase's lightsaber in the bottom left corner sorry if I spelled the names wrong
In the revan one when he said light or dark meat revan should’ve said both because he has a purple and a red lightsaber
The Blockbuster one he is eating popcorn WITH his helmet on
