Thank you! Yes, SAML and OIDC/OAuth2 are both protocols that can be used to enable SSO. However, they are not the same.. SAML is an older protocol that is XML-based and typically used in enterprise environments for web-based authentication and authorization.. OIDC/OAuth2 is more modern, JSON-based, and often used in mobile and web applications. While they serve similar purposes, they are different technologies with different implementations and use cases. SAML 2.0, the current version, was standardized in 2005. It is mature and widely used in enterprise environments. While there may not be frequent updates or new versions, it is still maintained and widely supported.
Very well explained purpose of SAML and how it compares to OAuth 2.0. Thanks for the video 👍

I learned a lot. Thank you, With OIDC in place SSO is enabled (OIDC with Oauth2) == SAML. And SAML is not actively developed since several years ?
Thank you!
