This is great, I saw that Collins used a wheel to do their sunbursts and I thought I was going to have to build my own. So being able to get this refined model will be great. Thanks for your lending your expertise to making this refined system.

Thanks Larry. I looked into having one made locally but it was all to much. I think this is great for the price.

What about set neck instruments? Most of what I build is set neck guitars and basses, where I apply the finish after attaching the neck.

You can hang a guitar off this but after trying to come up with a good way to attach a set neck (through the end jack and headstock tuner holes we weren’t satisfied with the results (there is always something In The way. Seems hanging from a hook is still the only option for a set neck .
If you have any ideas let me know.

Beau, just French polishing a guitar now, which means I'm always working on a flat/horizontal surface. F or the back and sides I use my shop built vacuum clam bot for the top I have to lay it on my bench since I don't want the vacuum to muck up the new finish. wondering if you think the lazy Suzann position or some other iteration would work for French polishing?

Hi- the luthiers finishing station would work but I think if you are ONLY french polishing, a better option might be the Robbie OBrien Soundhole clamp with the crossover mini - totalvise.com/shop/luthier-tools/obriens-sound-hole-guitar-clamp-package/
      Here it is alone- totalvise.com/shop/luthier-tools/obriens-sound-hole-guitar-clamp/

🤔🎸 Banam, I'm curious to know, what inspired you to become a full-time luthier, and what advice would you give to someone looking to pursue a similar path in the guitar craftsmanship industry? 🛠🎶

      Thanks.
I got into guitar making from playing and other woodworking. I’d start with books and online courses like from Robbie O’Brien. Now you have made 5 guitars then you have the only resume aa luthier cares about to consider an apprenticeship (at least for me).
