Tolyngee you're an idiot... IndyCar is actually greatly increasing in popularity while NASCAR is dropping quite a bit. The crowds at RA have been unbelievable as well as at Indy itself and tracks like Long Beach and Mid Ohio. The TV audiences have been on the rise as well. F1 is in a strange rut right now but I don't see F1 losing a whole lot of viewership in the near future. You need to take a chill pill and stay off the depressants.
Tolyngee RUclips is simply another outlet for companies to make money. All sports teams/leagues have YT channels now. It's not like it's a last ditch effort lol. F1 even posts some of their old races sometimes. IndyCar has and will always (hopefully) be the most fan friendly motorsport series in the world. These full race uploads are just another way to please the fans!
Auto racing as a sport will exist for a long time after self driving cars become the norm. We don't really use horses anymore to get around, yet horse racing is still a thing, too.
18:36 "Some of these young guys, especially the rookies, are firing through their push-to-pass like my 15 year old goin' through his tip money at Barney's"
AMAZING, thanks for uploading the whole race. In Canada its hard to get the INDYCAR races on regular TV. Looking forward to when you come to Toronto and I can see it live!! BIG Thumbs UP
Thanks for bringing the races to RUclips. I used to love watching INDYCAR as a kid but when you grow up you don't always have the time to sit and watch when a race is on. Combine that with cord cutting and it seeming like racing outside of NASCAR has disappeared from U.S. TV and I had completely forgotten about it. Now I can kick back when I have time and Googlecast to my TV and feel like a kid again.
The only reason I learned about all the positive changes the IndyCar series made, was because I was watching other open wheel racing videos and happened to see a suggestion for a video about the changes for 2018. I am so glad I found out about it. I'm loving the cars, the racing, all of it!

Ok new to the Indy car and F1 type...I thought they had this Halo thing on car...no longer using it?..and ty for sharing.👍 Also what is on the top of the car?..light? Camera?..silly ? I'm sure.
I'm an F1 fan. I don't understand indy fully are all the cars the same ? or are there different engines and chassis? I'm really starting to like indycar its very interesting. Thanks in advance
It was Honda who were way behind when this current engine formula started in 2012. They were then allowed by Indycar in a NASCAResque move to modify their engine, which wasn't allowed in the rules, to adopt Chevy/Ilmor's of twin turbo chargers instead of the single turbo. Back then there was a third engine in the field which was Lotus, but bad teams got rid of it quickly. Since then the power between Chevy and Honda was varying between seasons and circuit characteristic although up until 2018 topspeeds and fuel consumption was also heavily influenced by the aero kits which made it difficult for outsiders to judge the pure engine performance.
It's quite strange how the rules can be that different in different series. In just about every other racing series except Indycar and NASCAR Rossi's moves would have been heavily penalised. Rossi's pass on Wickens was more of a real 'he has the corner' situation, as Rossi was ahead of Wickens. However, it's the other one of those moves that is bothering me. In my opinion that situation was not really good hard racing. Had Rossi been clearly ahead of Sato, there would have been no reason for Sato to hang on on the outside. But, they were very much alongside each other and therefore in my opinion Sato should have been given room. The commentators were wrong, the two situations were not identical. Hugely similar, but not identical. I know that the rules are what they are and the decision were made according to the rules, but if you ask me, the rules need slight modifications. In my opinion, in an overtaking situation, a driver 'has the corner' when he is cearly ahead of the driver being overtaked. But if they are side by side, then it's not his corner and he cannot push the other driver off. I like hard racing, butjn my opinion hard racing should also be fair.
I was thinking what was wrong with the commentators, Rossi is aggressive and needs to be penalized. On wickens it could be excused but to do it a second time to Sato he needed to be penalized.
Wow, a 2 lap ads sequence every 6-8 laps... And the "NASCAR RETURNS" taking half of the screen... I hope other racing series' broadcasters will take it as an example of "what not to do" :/ And that's a shame, because Indycar in itself is really enjoyable to follow.
The embedded BS ads very much detract from the racing. I gave up watching indycar on commercial tv simply because the second the race goes green after an incident, NBC goes to commercial. Yet we stay all the way through most caution periods... madness. This is a good sport and a good tv property, ruined by Indycar's tv partners. It's a shame.
Glad to see Rossi have problems, he was pushing anyone wide that tried to pass around the outside. Its not elbows out racing, it’s running guys off of the track.
The driver in the two side by side corner incidents....close hard racing is good. However what wasn't discussed was how he ran up the curb he forced T. Sato and the other driver on the receiving end. How was that a reason to NOT at the very least give a warning? He literally hit both other drivers and after the Sato hit the officials should've said something. Overall this race was awesome
Rossi. But pause at 8:53 for the first incident (Wickens), at that corner it's not likely a pass around the outside will work if you're not truly side by side or ideally a little ahead, Wickens drops back half a car length before the little bump that helped him run out of road... And with the Sato battle starting at 46:02, Sato went 4 wheels off trying to complete the outside pass, and at the next corner the touch came again mid corner when he was already dropping back a bit. I'd call it tough but fair on both.
If your talking about Rossi, I agree. He has been very aggressive and took Wickens out of a win in his 1st INDYCAR race to open this season, and also forced him off the track in this race and then got Sato.
is this better than F1? well the sound is better at least, why f1 dont have amazing tracks like this one..i am really tiered of the same f1 tracks, this one would be epic instead of Spain catalunya for example

@@rth0383 No need to exaggerate. In the late 90s - early 2000s CART had Motegi, Jacarepagua, Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, Fundidora Park, Surfers Paradise, Lausitzring, Rockingham, Brands Hatch on the whole, and usually ran 3-4 races per season on these tracks - that's all. Paul Tracey is the best announcer! Thank you for uploading! It's the only way I can watch the races due to my work schedule!
I'm soo happy with IndyCar again, this has been the best season since 1995...
This circuit is so great you'd have to pinch yourself to remind yourself that it is in the US, not in Europe.
it should be a bit wider to make overtaking easier
America has many great road courses, if you think it's just ovals everywhere here you're dead wrong
Of course I know there are great circuits in America like COTA, Laguna Seca, Road America, Watkins Glen among others!
Other than COTA I agree
neurokirurgi NO NO NO its a great track because its a classic old school no fia bullshit hard to drive hard to race its great

Was sitting at Canada corner! Will be returning next year
We need to bring back refueling to F1, it ads such a dynamic strategy element to racing
Thanks for posting. Get to see Indy in newton on the 8th. First kind of professional racing I'll have been too. Can't wait!
Road America is such a beauty!! No yellows(again)! great race!!
Thanks for posting this!!!!
On Wisconsin my dudes, 'Indycar's home on the road' (Robin Miller)
i like this kind of racing. in these racing the playing field is level, same car design, different engines!
Grahm , always a flawless interview !
Sigh this is a big reason why I love being a Wisconsinite we got kickass tracks!!!
The gap between Penske and the other chevy teams is depressing lol. It's a "spec series" but the advantage in resources and people penske has is crazy
Hey IndyCar, thanks for posting full races.... Missed Mid Ohio this year.... any chance you could upload that race too?
Thanks again @NTT INDYCAR SERIES 😎

Thanks for fixing the cars.. They were so ugly before, and made it hard to watch. They look awesome without the trunk on the back..
Road America 🇺🇸 excellent race circuit. NTT Indycar series thanks for the view.
The advertising in Indycars is just insane. They even have Firestone telemetry

Can't wait for this year's race. This will be our fourth straight year.

Going to this in 2019!!!!

Douglas Conner they have the same chassis but a choice between Honda and Chevy engines. It used to be just Honda until 2012.
Kyle Utley is one engine stronger then the other or are they both close to the same
Douglas Conner they're essentially the same now. I think early on Honda might of had a small advantage but not too much these days

Atlhough I hate race directors being too picky I agree 100% with TheFlagstand here.
Anyone knows which channel shows these races live in india. Espn used to do it earlier.
thanks
I'm hyped to see the man Romain Grosjean on this circuit

Hobbs lives in Elkhart Lake?, why didn't he buy at Brands Hatch?
Is teamkill allowed here? Because Pastor Maldonado was good at it.
What's the song that plays when the starting grid is shown?
I was there the Friday before for practices!!!
Why have they gotten rid off the display on the roll hoop?
Very good question!

2018 KOHLER Grand Prix At Road American
indycars sound a heck of a lot better than F1 cars.
Its because they're twin-turbocharged and don't have an MGU-H unit that dampens the sound.
FIA ruined F1 going to the V6 hybrid....
Both are V6 engines, but one is single turbo hybrid and the other is Twin Turbo non hybrid
Eh, I like them both for different reasons. However there's nothing like an n/a engine screaming at 19 grand, like the good old days.
Good luck on finding an engine like that on this day and age that doesn't belong to a motorcycle

I think it's the lack of colorful asphalt runoff. Most US tracks have little runoff and it won't be as stylized like in COTA or Paul Ricard
Almost all of the US-tracks are far more enjoyable than many of the modern F1-Tilke-tracks imo.
Go look at an older video of Sonoma back when it was called Sears point. The runoff for the esses was a hill lol.
