As an oil contracts trader, erstwhile oil and gas industry recruiter and energy investor, I'm surprised I hadn't encountered Paul until a couple of days ago, when I saw him giving an interview on another channel. And I am SO impressed! He is now my go-to expert for oil and oil stocks - just as you are for my precious metals. Thank you, David and Paul, for a great interview.
Do not worry David. That hair shows the hallmark of a great concert violinist who just came from a grueling five hour Mozart marathon. The intense parts of the crescendos, the memories, sweat and tears of tiger mom Lin, then finally on stage with the greatest conductor.
What a knowledgeable guest. Oil under a $100/barrel is quite cheap because buyers use devalued dollars to buy it. Wish you would show a graph of "present-day values" of the last thirty years of oil prices.
Gas prices- in our area in the US, prices have been swinging wildly. Our price per gal went up 12 cents from yesterday. Last month we had a day where they went up 30 cents per gal, in one day.
A barrel is approximately 40 gallons. Also tech requires a tremendous amount of cooling systems. This pulls on the electrical grid. Add atmospheric conditions to the equation, compounding issues often ignored.
David Lin can pivot on a dime. A superb interview. Paul Sankey is laid back when being interviewed but more of his personality was on display here. The flip from the U.S. import 10mb/d to exporting 2mb/d since the shale revolution is often lost on me.
I wanna know when the Permian will rollover and 50% of the worlds oil production growth comes to an end. I think that’ll have the biggest impact on price.
I always want to hear what this guy has to say. One of my favorite analysts. Seems like one of the big revelations of the Israel Palestine 'situation' is that the arab world now cares more about keeping business going (money) than they care about injustice against other, non money generating, muslims (Palestinians).
The Saudis themselves have said "which Muslims?" They're exporting their criminal class out to Europe, just like with what's happening from South America to America. A nationalist approach is necessary for this worldwide destabilization in value systems. No more daddy dollar, at best it's a good house in a bad neighborhood. Now countries are modernizing and figuring out how to clean themselves up and own their own value
My oil and gas plays are BP and i3. I'm bullish on both, but do your own research before buying anything so that if things go wrong, you only have yourself to blame! :)
With inflation at its highest in 40 years, uncertainty clouding the global markets, and a high volatility index, it's about time I review my financial plans to secure my future. I'd appreciate insights on how to allocate a large portfolio, let's say $250k.
Agreed, having the right choice of advice is invaluable, my portfolio is well-matched for every season of the market and has just yielded 100% from early last year to date. I and my advisor are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal tho this could take another year.
Can't divulge much, I get guidance from ''Karen Lynne Chess'' you'd most likely find her basic info on the internet, she's quite a veteran with over two decades of experience, her qualifications speak for itself.
Lies people need to count corporations firings and government employment is not real economy its just borrowing at intrest to pump a jobs report. part time should be different categorize becase takes 3 to = 1 full-time. Japanese window guidance sabotage 1950-2024 great documentary.
All these economic experts know near zero when it comes to Israel. There are no Palestinian people. The people in Gaza are Egyptian Arabs, that Sadat refused to take back during the Israel-Egypt peace agreement, and for a good reason. Israel left Gaza, removing all Jews (Even though in Israel proper there are many arab citizens). Gazans aim is not independence - They already had that, but rather the anhilltion of all of Israel.
David, you had interviewed so many "experts" everyone here is getting Confused what indications one should be looking for, you should one day sit down and look at them yourself and come to advice the viewers which one are most to more important ones e.g. money supply, unemployment, etc equally important where to look at them.
Truckers and oil pipeline welders ready to vote Republican. John Q Public will feel pain with stock market selloff into fall. "Drill baby drill" will make more sense in the fall. Pain at the pump and 401-k declines could make this a Republican victory.
Who really knows at this point in time how much fossil fuel is left in all places its found, but fuds 1st law is anything that could go wrong probably will so dont count chickens before they hatch😅😊😢!
EV’s. They are run on batteries!? I never liked my torch batteries going flat constantly- the same if I had a battery car!? And I’m tired of tripping over extension cords running from home power outlets to their bloody EV’s. And my taxes subsidise these peoples cars,!!!,!,!,!

David Lin - you a good interviewer dude.

With the Huothi rockets. It's not the action but the recation. Assets lost in response to these "fireworks". Who is losing the most?

This guy has great insight on how many things work.
Very informative and interesting interview. Well done David....as usual
Great interview!
But our USA government launders our money all the time ignoring the American people 😂
Trump is the deciding factor on price of oil by end of year

Next year or two Permian will peak according to my crystal ball
Excellent interview.
David 's hair reflects the energy market perfectly😂 Great Interview by the way.
I own every single energy company that trades in the US and pays a dividend, that’s how bullish I am lol
How many companies is that?
What are your favorites?
This Sankey guy clearly talks the talk and walks the walk. He obviously turned down the thermostat for his office. Like.....way down.
So.. is peyto a good buy? Suncor cenovus ?
Yes,they are.
We should start a petition for this channel to be renamed “David’s Crazy Hair” 😂
Great interview
interesting new guest, bring him back!
Great talk! Thank you
Great guest hope to see him back

Like the stock market - hair today, gone tomorrow.
Hair is on point David!
Good interview and a very interesting guy.
New rule:
auto fuel: "gasoline"
Heating/elect. generation: "natural gas"

Agreed?

Thanks for sharing
I hadn't realised that anyone needed to ask! And Im sure you don't challenge crypto-bots, but real people, fine. :) `good luck with that@@Coach8687

So, what is the actionable play? Buy oil stock? Buy oil etf?

Buy real Estate in Calgary
Nice! Looking good David.
Now that's a nice tousle!

Not so windy today in David’s neighbourhood, judging by his hair 💨
David got off this call like he had to face a taco bell decision he made 3 hours prior 😂
I wish I had hair to f up. 😂
me too
More Hanke and Sankey, less Soloway and Vermeulen
🙏
This dude has to have a deep understanding of the concept - “overshoot”
Election year, don’t worry gas prices will fall
Let's see what happens in a week when the Fed has to raise rates. CPI was bad
Under normal conditions you would be write but you would be wrong if you think they are going to drop rates at the speed they are printing.
Read the Bible too.
AI will need nuclear, nat gas n oil will build those plants. You should be heavy in these sectors…Oil, NatGas, and Nuclear long term.
Norway EV is like sell oil and subsidize EV
David’s hair looks like it is set up for a massive squeeze. 📈
Some glitchy video things going on with your guest. Like what is the oil pump that appears above his head? What's going on there? Distracting.
The economy in the USA is so strong yet bankruptcy has not been so high since the GFC? Personal debt to income has never been so high ....wtf?
Lies people need to count corporations firings and government employment is not real economy its just borrowing at intrest to pump a jobs report. part time should be different categorize becase takes 3 to = 1 full-time.

First to say
AI needs nat gas
Heard it here first
Oil will continue to be a valuable commodity.
Great hair!
Solar- Wind is a Woke Joke
6:00 MINUTES- 700 watts is the equivalent energy consumption of a house! Better not run a hair dryer. I think not...BY A WIDE MARGIN!
Good looking head of hair. Needs a better barber. Recommed the Ivy League cut

Absolutely true. I hope and pray Israel stays strong and steadfast.

Wish we didn’t need oil anymore but damn we won't get off anytime soon. So lets make a ton of money!
Nice clickbait title. Disappointing.
Oil

Rough night David?

I can't believe all the guys commenting on your hair the other day😂 And it had to be guys because the ladies love curls.
David
Did you just wake up
David- comb your hair so it looks combed.
No
Why are you worried about another man's hair?
Not so fast. Recession will drop oil dramatically. After that it will be game on for oil. Could have a nice little run in the short term.
Sankey is always excellent but the podcaster is such a tool.
Yawn...
EV’s. They are run on batteries!? I never liked my torch batteries going flat constantly- the same if I had a battery car!? And I’m tired of tripping over extension cords running from home power outlets to their bloody EV’s. And my taxes subsidise these peoples cars,!!!,!,!,!
