Prenups are kisses of death in relationships. Doesn’t matter the content, it ruins every single relationship. Because you’re still guarded from your partner, and you’re still putting things above the relationship
Of all the things Fran has done, the goofups and bad decisions and simple mistakes or misunderstandings (and yes, yes, Maxwell isn't perfect either, but let's stay on-subject to make a point), she's never been untrustworthy in regards to his finances. She appreciates nice things but she isn't a gold-digger and wouldn't do deliberate harm or set out for financial revenge. . At the same time, it sounds like his accounts, personal or business or (his) family-related, are very complicated in set up. If ever he's incapacitated, and she ends up in charge of his financial assets, she could maybe do some harm simply by accident just because she hasn't had his business / finance education and isn't up to speed on his financial planning. Doesn't have to worry about that if they're already assigned other in-case-of management. . And in case they ever do divorce (they'd never! but just to soothe minds), a prenup covering some things like certain business / family assets would ensure he didn't have to worry about rearranging the overseer of them or their structures (set up) itself to make sure they were left alone to continue functioning under whatever management he'd already set for them. Because divorces are messy and complicated, and a partner doesn't even have to ask for or want half of a particular account or whatnot for it to get included in the half of everything or whatever for... what's it called? alimony? that supports the at-home household-managing and child-rearing partner (who btw can be the dad) and/or children while things settle? . The prenup doesn't include their obviously shared assets and accounts (community property, iirc?), I think, or exclude a partner from paying alimony or child-support. It can be used to just set certain things "off-limits" to keep things simpler and without disruption in case of a separation. . The weight-clause, now... that's unacceptable. Especially if his weight isn't also held to an equally strict standard.
its also very easy for others to manipulate Fran into doing bad things with Maxwell's money if he is ever gone. The Prenup allows Maxwell's own plans to continue, and he can even have assets set aside for Fran in his will. So prenup is not a bad thing, it is just good to have to ensure that the love between them is just that, love and no money is ever involved.
@@sharpaycutie2 I think it's just good adulting to have one. It's not a matter of trust before the wedding, it's a matter of what will this person be like if we grow to hate each other, which could happen. This stuff about putting things before the relationship is just overly-romanticized hooey.
"Now you're on the wrong side of the door."
With C.C. away, Niles needed to aim that savagery somewhere.
Her gasp at the weight clause is everything 😂
“So i could retire in the Riviera and go blonde?!!”
"Who thinks of such things?"
😂😂😂😂
Go for it girl! Wish I could!
Your mother.
“Niles! Niles, where are you going !??”
“Now you’re on the wrong side of the door” 😂😂😂
"You're on the wrong side of it!"
😹🤘
"Now YOU are on the wrong side of the door." Karma came back quick!☠😅😂🤣
I could accept a prenup from my fiancee.
However, if my partner were to put a clause about my weight, he could definitely forget about the wedding…
😂😂

Niles right asking Fran to sign prenup is like asking for a death sentence

I love this show!!!
3:55 My art teacher when she sees my portfolio of someone who I see in my dreams.
😂😂😂
She sucked all of the air out of the room! The whole audience almost died! 😂😂
I miss this show.
❤❤❤❤❤thank you Fran!!!
I love what you do
Maxes father should’ve asked for a prenup for his his many ex wives🧑
we saw your mother 😂
they could have topped that punchline by letting Sylvia enter that moment, or by Fran saying "OK, you have a point there."
Madline zima is so fine
I don't understand what is the problem here. Every marriage need prenup.
Because a marriage is about the people in it and not things

Why bother to comment then
