Any time! (Can’t tell if you are joking with text and all). Sometimes we get stuck and don’t realize we don’t have to follow the crafting rules. If you can do it, knit ribbing and cuffs rock with a crochet piece. Use the best of both, you are multi talented 🥰
Yep, I taught myself to knit too. I used to twist all my stitches (not on purpose). It took a bit to learn the way I lurk now. Very worth the time doing so.
Thank you so much for showing us this one. Knit and crochet, and an actual project to see how it really works, I love it. Very useful! I love that color you are making the sweater from. I was drawn to it immediately when I saw the yarn on the website, but was hesitant not knowing how it would work up. I love it so much. Going to buy some online right now. I love the broken stripes. So much more gentle in appearance than hard lines, though I like those too. I think the broken stripes like this work well on larger figures or shorter ones that hard lined stripes may make look wider and shorter. So pretty! That sweater is heccin gorgeous and will be amazing on you or anyone who claims it. :)
It's very pretty yarn and I find that I like yarns that come from Turkey. My favorite yarns are from Rowan and they are known to discontinue lines of yarn fairly often. That's how my Rowan stash has grown so much. I'll get something I like 'just in case'. So far, their Felted Tweed (DK) has hung around for a while, which I appreciate. Love the sweater that you're making!
Shannon I cannot wait to hear what you think of the new boho yarn Joanne? All the things like do you like it is it soft is it pretty would you tell someone they should buy it would it make nice items like socks and skirts and shirts?🤗💜 the sweater you're making with the big twist boho yarn is beautiful! I the way the colorway is striping so beautifully they are definitely your colors!
Price is fantastic at $6.99 a ball full price (definitely use your coupons and sale). 2 skeins for a sweater at that price is phenomenal. I can see sensitive skin not enjoying the wool/mohair mix. I think it’s more the mohair then wool though. The colors are beautiful, it works up well and is economical. I don’t see wanting a blanket with this although the colors would be amazing. The sweater I’m making falls right there in the 2 skein range so spot on what they were saying. I think for mistakes knitting would be easier to rip out then crochet.
Yes! Unravel. Very excellent demonstration. Gently. Dont rip! I see so many pieces ruined because after all their work, some people rip it back when they make a mistake. Such a sad waste of time and effort. Gentle persuasion on nearly everything in life works best, doesnt it?
Interesting thought of faux wool. How fast are you normally sensitive? Did you touch both of these long enough to cause problems if that’s the case? Since they didn’t bother you like wools normally would (low content of wool) what did you think of the yarns? I think the Supernova would appeal to more people then the Boho, what do you think?
@@anotheryarn I am very sensitive to wool. I handled both of these on two video a couple weeks ago when I got them in from Joann’s before they went to the shelf’s. First time I did take a Benadryl just in case and the next day I picked them up without thinking and was holding them a good 5 minutes each and with normal wool that 5 minutes would have already made hives and had breathing issues.
@@anotheryarn the super nova imho is the best of the two. Boho has some uses but I think the super nova has more potential with projects but that’s just me thinking in terms of Tunisian.
Just found your channel, love it! Thanks for the review of the Boho yarn, I really like the colors (Rustic and Earthy Rainbow so far). I crochet and had the same problem frogging my swatch too. Lovely sweater, your vlog makes me want to take up knitting again too!
Work with your yarn however it pleases you. I’m enjoying this with knit, I think I’d have to be comfortable with the pattern for crochet (not designing with this yarn). It is lovely, I’d like to see it worked in a larger crochet piece though. I’d still use a bigger hook to keep it light and airy. There’s a review on the Big Twist Supernova and a knit hat tutorial if you’d like to see how some of that yarn works up.
@@anotheryarn Our local yarn stores mostly have a limited range (probably due to the high cost of importing stock), so I really enjoy watching RUclipsrs like you, Juan and Crystal where you review such gorgeous yarns!
I see this is a rotation yarn for JoAnn. It’s got the double whammy for a lot of people wool and a fine weight. I personally like both of those. Mohair is another interesting addition
Shannon, those colors are absolutely amazing in your sweater. WOW. TYFS
These are very saturated and really pretty all worked up together.
Yes, you have a great color choice. It is making a great sweater. 😊❤
Oh thank you! So far it’s working up pretty quickly. Using size 8’s helps
Yay! Thank you for giving us permission to combine knitting and crocheting. I so prefer knitted ribbing.

Big Twist sure is coming up with some lucious yarn and great colorways. Hopefully, my JoAnn’s will have it soon.
Thanks for the review!❤️
@@vickicoleman2474 I was intrigued by the 2 balls for a sweater. Get it on a day it’s on sale and you e hit a $10 piece added to the wardrobe.
Oh my goodness I want that yarn! Gorgeous sweater!
The colors are very saturated.
THOSE COLORS WERE MADE FOR YOU!!
These are really pretty colors. That purple is a lovely saturated shade.
I love continental style knitting. I taught myself to knit, and that way just seemed normal to me so I went with it. Very fast.

So far it’s worked up really fast. I got the yarn and cast on with it Thursday. It’s really all I’ve done since then 🥹
That yarn sure does work up pretty!
It really does have a nice color to it. I’m enjoying the broken stripes this has. Color without the hard breaks.
@@anotheryarn awesome
Thank you for testing this yarn out I just bought the water lilys color and I cant wait to try it and this just encouraged me to do so!
@@MakeupPass That’s wonderful. It’s great seeing all the new yarns.
Looks great, love the way it's stripping! I'm not trying this yarn. If was not available in my store, but I did get some of the supernova yarn. 💜
With the wool and smaller size I can see this one not being for everyone. That’s ok, we all gravitate towards different things.

Slow and steady, it can be done. When you get frustrated, you are more likely to break your yarn.
As someone who has a wool allergy, that stuff didn’t mess with me same with the super nova. It could be processed differently or may be faux wool.
