KAKATIYA TEMPLE SKETCHING Jan 25 tp 26th 2025
50 painters from two Telugu states visited Kakatiya Temples under the aegis of Kalayagna and Torch Institutions and created amazing sketches understanding the history, uniqueness and artistic talent of the temple. Renowned historians Arvind Arya, Katta Srinivas, Assistant Director of State Archaeology Department Mallu Nayak, famous sculptor Raghveer, painters conveyed the history of Shesha Brahman Temple to the enthusiastic painters.
On the first day Ganapuram Kotagullu Temple, on the second day, sketches were drawn after examining the ruins of famous Chandravelli Temple which is in ruins near Manthini of Peddapalli district.
One of the world-renowned sculptural forms is the style of Kakatiya sculptures, the magnificent temples are collapsing in the womb of time due to minimal security. Organizers said that their responsibility has increased by carrying out this effort under the auspices of Kalayagna and Torch organizations to raise awareness of the wonders of the past sculptures at a national level and increase the partnership between the government and the people on their protection, reconstruction and other aspects. The 'Project Renaissance' project was said to be designed, reimagining what the current ruins once looked like. This work has been undertaken with the intention of helping to inform the future generations how magnificent the inherited wealth is.
They said that they are going to organize a large scale art exhibition in Hyderabad with these paintings painted by the artists
