The Muffs were one of the most underrated bands of the 90's. My friend used to date Kim & now works with Ronnie at a Southern California record store. I know Ronnie has a show with Stephen Schnee & is very knowledgeable about music & very good natured. Kim was really talented.
I've heard you mention The Muffs on your show before but I still don't have anything by them. Any band that has a song called 'I'm A Dick' has my complete interest. Kim sounds like she was a great person, it's cool that she contacted you. The Muffs are now on my shortlist for a CD pick-up. Nice photo by the way!
hahah yeh sometimes when i’m on those shoots in the wilderness i go full on grizzly adams. comes with the territory. try to grab one of those first three albums i think you’ll dig them.
I'll have to dig into them - I know of them, but never had an album of theirs. Great video - I learned alot. Great reissues there too. Love that beard photo And love that you keep the receipts...lol
yeh a few years ago i started to keep the receipts and tuck them into the CD. its like a secret prize hidden away for whoever ends up owning these CDs in the future…. although who am I kidding they’ll probably end up in a landfill in Staten Island.
@@TheAlanRosenbergShow yeh the first receipt that dropped out was from Cactus Music in Houston which I should’ve mentioned cause that’s where Ronnie the bass player is from. But as for knowing where I bought things back in like 2016 I started doing a very Alan Rosenberg-ish thing and keeping a word doc of where/when i bought any new music.
its very possible you never heard a song brian. to be honest im not even sure that Fruitopia commercial that used their song everywhere i go aired in canada. although you probably heard their cover of kids in america from clueless. hope ya give em a listen and like what ya hear.
