Sons Of Anarchy also reshot the pilot episode and also replaced who was playing the part of President of the Club. In Sons, the original actor who played Clay Morrow was actor Scott Glenn. Kurt Sutter felt that he didn't really feel Scott really portrayed Clay right so the part was recast with Ron Perlman. Also in the Original pilot, There was a character called Hawk played by Emilio Rivera. That part was changed and was redone and it became Tig with Kim Coates playing the part. Emilio did go on to be recast as Marcus Alvarez, El Patron of the Mayans MC.
It funny how during SOA I wanted the Myans to be killed. Now I love them!! Great theme. I grew up on Harleys so there is no way I wouldn’t love both series.
For anyone who reads this comment and hasn’t seen any of Mayans MC spoiler alert is now in effect. 🚨 SPOILERS 🚨 I’m a die hard SOA fan. And while SOA was on my favorite character was Jax in this show my favorite is actually Angel. Because his journey is show is highlighting his strong devout sense of loyalty to the club and his family. As a member of the MC he gonna do whatever he feels has to be done to protect the club even if it means going behind the their back. He, EZ, Coco, and Gilly knew what they were doing was dangerous not only would they have to worry about what the club would do if they found out but what the cartel would do if they found out. But they did it anyway. And it worked. Not only did their plan protect the club it helped elevate their status in the power structure. And Angel knew neither he nor his friends could never claim credit for this development but he didn’t care he just wanted his club to survive and thrive. Then his loyalty to family can never be questioned. He found out his brother was a rat and though he was hurt and angry he never allowed himself to feel hatred. A rattlesnake was actually about to bite and poison EZ and his first instinct, despite his pain and rage, was to protect his baby brother. In the season 2 he actually admitted that he felt jealousy for his brother because it seemed like his parents preferred EZ over him. But he still loved his brother so much that he wanted the same thing for him that his parents wanted. He wanted EZ to have a good life without blood and chaos. He makes this clear when they officially vote EZ in as a full member. But since circumstances changed and put EZ on this path he feels responsible for his brother’s safety within the club life. Which is why in the sixth episode of the season after EZ gets shot his rage is one of the highlights of the episode. From the jump he lets it be known that he intends to kill the two members of the Stockton charter who dared to try kill EZ. We also see in the season 3 finale he does indeed have a personal moral code. He will not under any circumstances hurt or kill a child. With EZ there’s a complexity to him because despite his quiet demeanor and obvious love for those close to him he can be very dark and deadly. He even admitted he would’ve killed the kid if that’s what the club needed. But with Angel it’s different despite his loud and belligerent demeanor and loyalty to the club he still adheres to his conscience and will not under any circumstances kill a child. If he wasn’t there saying how wrong it is to kill a kid EZ would’ve done it. That’s why I think at some point in the show Angel may end up getting killed off. That scene showed Angel at times acts as EZ’s conscience. And if something happens to Angel EZ will really go dark and nothing will bring him back. Clayton Cardenas does a fantastic job portraying this awesome character. I know he will go on to do great things as an actor and I for one can’t wait to see it.
I kind of feel like this guy is trying to take credit for claytons greatness.. this interview was less about Clayton and more about what this guy did for Clayton..
