True but imo these new writers didn't understand janine as a character so they forced her into this villain role without motive however that's not the case with janine she's always been vindictive but there's times where she's really trued to be good yet is lost
But realistic. People rarely change. And if they do it's because they truly want to. Not because someone else wants them to. Janine was neglected as a child. She turned out to be a narcissist and she married a narcissist too! They can't change. They can develop self-awareness but it's called a personality disorder for a reason. It's woven into who they are. It is part of them.
