One of the early things nerds and other quiet kids learn is that you're always on your own, and that the authorities (teachers) will NOT have your back. You learn that resisting or reporting inevitably leads to severe retribution, and you learn to live with it. That's just how modern society works. Gods help you if the reason you are being bullied is faith/politics/gender/race based.

Everyone's making fun of this scene. I know it's not realistic, but did anyone atleast find it mildly cathartic? I mean it's someone standing up for me their friend to a bully. Who doesn't love that?
It is so rare, so stupidly rare, that we see scenes like this in real life, let alone on RUclips. It’s become such a foreign concept. Standing up for someone requires empathy. If you can’t feel their feelings with them, for them, or of them, you will be uncaring, even offended into violence. I am a bully! No, sir, your mental health, it’s not well. Being human means being human; being humane. You lack humanity, not empathy, or sympathy. You lost the Love.
Fair enough. But once you become an adult your standards generally increase and you find it hard to enjoy dog shit, regardless of the message.

@AidenWarren feels like you're just trying to play devils advocate. Of course there is different types of bullying that exists, but for the most part, and especially in schools because of teachers, kids are bullied more through less confrontational methods. Like spreading nasty rumors about people or excluding and isolating them.
Im not trying to discredit anyone who may have been bullied this sort of way, but for the vast majority of people, the dialogue from the bullies and the victims is really unrealistic and, to an extent, takes away from the victims of bullying by making it seem easy to stand up to it.
