I don't think they let you bcuz sloths don't like meeting new people it raises their heartbeat and makes them "stressed". Usually the people who work there work there for years in order for the sloths to feel safe with them 8( I wish I could too but it's unrealistic
well, i wish too, but check the Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary pages: you have to PAY to be there ... I wish to help animals, but I'm not gonna pay to stay with them.

I know I am very late for this comment, but that's their instinct.
Mother sloths and baby sloths will "kiss". Like it looks like they're making out; the reason why is because when the baby sticks its tongue into the the mother's mouth, it can take taste what she's been eating so it knows what is edible when it gets older.

Those two babies were absolutely adorable and so sweet. I've always ranked them along with another tree dweller from Australia the adorable koala as my favorite wild animals. Both are amazingly similar in lifestyle and eating habits depending on a diet of leaves and flowers and spend most of their time in a tree sleeping. Despite their claws they are normally gentle and rather harmless critters

I actually cried...Like tears from my eyes...Jesus I've always loved sloths, but I never knew how much. These were adorable. I'm so glad that we have animals this cute in the world and we have people like Coyote to showcase them and teach us all about them.

When I was a kid I had the most remarkable book on Animals from South America. I spent days after days and hours after hours reading it. I was mesmerized by the range of animals and what they could do, their colours and patterns.
