My favorite games of the year were DMC5, AI: The Somnium Files, Indivisible, Kingdom Hearts 3 and Astral Chain. AI is definitely one I can recommend. Especially if you want some juicy material for your In The Mind of Series.
I may not have played that many games of 2019 but god may condamn me to running through all rings of hell and all of purgatory if Devil May Cry 5 didnt deserve that Action game award.
AoE2 DE, Three Kingdoms, Anno 1800, Tropico 6, Worker's and Resources, Rise of Industry, Phoenix Point, Battlefleet Gothic 2. Don't know about you guys, but it was a great year for me:P P.S.: it's great to hear you aknowledge Darksiders Genesis, but claiming it has best soundtrack in the series? Crowfather! Guardian! Plains of Death! Gilded Arena! Jesper Kyd went pretty hard for Darksiders 2.
King did you played DS3 with the Default mode or classic? Because classic give a substancial improviment in the combat because now tou can cancel your imputs now with the Dodge that Works a Lot better(also the healing is more imidiate what can be a life savior) Darksiders 3 is clearly inferior tô DS1 and 2 but i think classic mode saves the package
I to shared you fear that darksiders 3 was the end of its franchise! (like a certain other third instalement of a THQ legacy that was nothing but an utter insult). So happy genesis turned out great!
Mine was Void bastards, Astral Chain and Death Stranding. Void Bastards is very minimal form of -shock game(system shock, bioshock or prey2017). A dungeon crwaling FPS with rouge-like elements. Its cartoony graphic and Douglas Adams sense humor makes more fun to play. Astral Chain was made by platinum games and they tried very unique approach to Stylish Action Game genre. Use both a main character and a partner creature 'legion' at once, and adapt the situation by swapping your legions. I dont have to explain death stranding, I think.
If a hotel having a different over-the-top theme for every floor makes you feel "less like you're in a hotel" then I'm guessing you've never been to Las Vegas. XD
1. Final Fantasy 14. "Finally got into this game this year it took all my time for a couple of months. Too bad, I can't play it anymore. Need more money. sigh. 2. Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Best smash bros game besides Brawl. 3. Luigi's Manson 3. My first ever Luigi's Manson game. Still need to finish it, but from what I've played of it its tons of fun to play. Nothing else sticks out for me. Honorable mention to Fire Emblem Three Houses mainly because I need to play more of it before I can truly say that it's one of my favorite games of 2019.
