I never knew about Jamie, until a dj I listen to religiously played her band Anteloper. Oh my God, I wish I had followed her before, but I can at least listen to her discography. As a greenhorn observer, I can say that Jamie will be missed. ❤️
Strange but at the same I think super approachable. Making accessible music with it's own unique voice is incredibly hard to do and Anteloper is able to delight those who already like strange music, but also draw in people who may be new to it.
This song is brilliant. I just wish it were engineered to really bring out it's brilliance. The low end sounds muddy and the first horn section would feel great floating up and around the listeners head (the same was the last horn section did).
