@@rhonelcloma3168 yup. What you see in the discovery is the 2nd take. He was easily found because he doesn't really do the things which our scout ranger really does. He even put flare, which means military can just start on searching in that radius. Then he just runs into the jungle, which is the worst thing you could do if you are a spy or a ranger .
So the filipinos didn't even saw him as a challenge. Even our boyscouts here can track him

I have so much respect for all our military, and especially Navy SEAL's! SEAL's are such unique and rare individuals! The bond that SEAL's have with each other is beyond commitment, in this day and age of the "me" generation! I admire and respect Joel Lambert as one of these rare Americans, I don't even want to imagine what our lives would be like without his caliber of person willing to serve America. This is an awesome show that you will get to glimpse some of the determination/commitment all SEAL's have as part of who they are.

I recently move in a jungle here in Mandanao and lemme all tell ya, the jungles here are not to be underestimated. But I think y'all get used to it like I do, it's basically paradise for me now xD

That's why US or Australia only give weapons and drones to PH Army. Because, our soldier's is so skilled in many ways.
I remember when we were doing hiking with my friends, we were on the trail it was very dark and we only had our flashlight and headlamps then we rest like 5 minutes only to found out that we have rangers seating on our side they where not moving any muscle nor any sounds like what the effin their on stealth mode.

Joel is a former seal a soldier, he should not complain about terrains,ir jungle cuz hes a soldier highly trained,,he gates philippines cuz he got caught easily,,
Just like what he said, he's like blazing a way for the ASR with him slowed down by the overgrowth while the ASR was like "hey someone is making this way too easy for us." Anyone would have the same difficulty, also the ASR's enemies makes the jungle as their home so the Rangers would have to train manually since using tech doesn't really help with stealth, which is key when dealing with terrorists and rebels.
Anyway, the ASR just proves that old school can be just as badass and deadly.
True.... As a soldier why would you complain about the jungle because jungle are suppose to be hard and dangerous which is easy to track for others but for pros its gonna be hard to find them.

I think Philippine jungle is the worst and hardest jungle in a sense that you really need a lot of sweat....... Filipino soldier are well trained to hunt using their senses minus the modern tech provided by other military....... He caught tjat early so they repeat the hunt its a real jungle......

i totally disagree not a lot of things just only pure tracking skills and a standard radio for communication nothing more than that...if our Rangers are using technology it will be recorded immediately by the production staff that will contribute to Joel's success and fail

you miss my point when i said technologies. radios cars are just the basic and standard equipment for the Army but using drones, helicopters, sattelite and any sensors to detect movement or body temperature would be totally out of the tracking skills which is hone by training and discipline but because of this hi end technologies which surpasses Human skill that will automatically compensate by far any of our skills with accuracy. and no doubt Joel is one of the best Navy Seal

The Philippine Scout Rangers operate on the necessity on the security of the Philippine state to protect against armed Muslim extremists. They're extremely resourceful, and incredibly talented at forest tracking. Which is a damn shame that they're not given more funding to make them an even more effective anti-terror tactical unit. As it stands, they're effective but lacking the funding to be used in Joint operations with other countries abroad.

Me, I was always tracking my carabaos in jungle when i was a child, same strategies you need to trace their foot prints, some damage leaves and you need to be attentive every time to hear your surroundings clearly. Also, I needed to walk in silence to ensure no one in my surroundings would notice me.

The first manhunt Joel Lambert did in Ph, Philippine Scout Ranger do easily caught Joel Lambert just a few minutes. And bcoz of that he asked for take two, and they caught him EASILY, AGAIN. Btw the take two is the one they used for the 'Discovery channel'.

filipino soldiers base training are from USA then modified to adapt less equipped and very thick jungle fighting NPA communist and muslim rebels after american colonization , a lot of west point graduates including ex president Ramos.
I would disagree their standard of training yes, it comes from the points of US tactics but the basis on what and how they train was created through lessons and experience throughout the different conflicts they experienced.
