Strong episode. Because it does something with Jill once again at the start. It's great seeing her determination to win at all costs as per Armored Car once again come the rescue. And thus the end hits. Dear me though, this episode has editing on a par with Ed Wood's movie Bride of the Monster. Which is to say it's some of the worst ever. And they were still on a network in these days, so they had no excuse.
Miss Keller vanishes without ever being seen or mentioned again after this.
Just like Sid.

Was Shawn Weatherly wanting to leave Baywatch lead to her character being killed off?
It was stated that since, at the time, they thought Baywatch wasn't going to come back another season, she wanted her character kill off.
while sad, Jill as a character was underused in the series despite being prominently featured in the intro sequence. We never get to see where Jill lives unlike Mitch, Craig, Shaunie or Eddie. Jill is athletic and very attractive but seems to have no boyfriend and no life outside of being a lifeguard. Wouldn't surprise me if actress Shawn Weatherly asked to be released from her contract so they wrote her character out of the series.
