An 1884 Corpet visits the Beeches Light Railway

Statfold's 1884 Corpet 0-6-0T visits the Beeches Light Railway on 26th June 2022. This French built loco worked at a mining company in the Aller region of Spain. Ftted with the unusual Brown's valve gear, it makes an interesting contrast to the 1889 British built Darjeeling B Class tank.

interestingly this locomotive doesn't feature the original Corpet-Brown valve gear but what seems to be a modified hackworth valve gear version! (the one at the MTVS still features the builder's own design)
