I did 19 months on Rikers island before I went upstate to start my bid. I was in and out but I made the decision while doing a 3 to 9 that I wasn't coming back no matter what happens. I came home in 2013 and haven't looked back. I celebrated 8 years clean and sober in June of 2019. My life has changed. I left NYC and I started my family in Southwest Florida. Life is good today

This guy is basically telling my story. Although I wasn't a millionaire, I made well over 100k a year in the early 2000's. Hurt my back and graduated up the opiate ladder. By 2012 my life was ruined. I gave everything away...people want to say "I lost this, I lost that"... I gave it away. Divorced, penniless and broken. Made some stupid decisions and was entrenched in the legal system. Judicial intervention saved my life too! 5 years clean now and I'm still picking up the pieces and dealing with the wreckage of my past. But...I'm not dead!!!

I just hope that I wake up one day and realize wtf is really going on and say ‘OK, I’M DONE! I’M OFFICIALLY DONE!’. What I’ve definitely realized is that it’s up to YOU! It’s up to the person whether they really want to stop or not. If you’re not ready and every single part of you isn’t beat up, fed up & at complete rock bottom, then you probably/likely won’t stop. It must have been a living hell, to be in solitary confinement while going through opioid withdrawal. Withdrawal alone is supposed to be hell on Earth, and solitary confinement is supposed to be hell on Earth, so having to endure both of them at once must've really been something special. And then, add on top of that you're facing 50 years in jail? Whew! That must be a real humdinger. And then on top of all that, knowing that you threw your whole life away. And for him it's not just, you know, a good job and people who love you and all the basics...he had a frigging successful acting career! He was in movies...MOVIES!! He was a working, successful Hollywood actor, that's like, one of the BEST lives a human being can have; it's a world of money, women, partying, everyone telling you how awesome you are all the time and just all plushness all the time. That's the life he should have been living. That's the life that was given to him on a silver, no, a fucking PLATINUM platter with blue diamonds and emeralds and every other kind of precious stone. And instead of being in a mansion fucking whoever the hottest actress is with producers and directors shoveling heaps of hundred dollar bills at him, he was in a concrete cell in solitary confinement in Rikers fucking Island, suffering through the horrors of heroin withdrawal and facing down the prospect of spending the rest of his Earthly existence behind bars being barked at and ordered around and never, ever knowing freedom ever again. Man, that's a very dark place to be in if you think about it. Don't do drugs, kids. Especially if you're a fucking successful movie actor? No, man. You don't want to ever risk screwing that up. Smoke weed as much as you want, but shit like coke and pills and heroin, and, hell, even alcohol? Skip that shit, homie. Enjoy the money and the women and people kissing your ass all the time and smoking all the best weed. Leave the dope alone.

I’m a C.O and he exactly right what he said. We never get respect from cops but are Job is way harder. Try being locked up with 120 inmates in a dorm by yourself with no weapons. Just a radio and mace. That’s it

Lillo's hands are workin' overtime, expressive gestures, up and down, over here, over there. His hands were two of the hardest working actors in Hollywood.

I've been high on life since i was a kid . I never did drugs nor did I drink alcohol .
While growing up I had little friends because my personality was different from everyone's .
I had the bestest friends in the world .
1 thing I learned about my past is to always be yourself and to never give yourself limits .
The moment you give yourself limits is the moment you start to deteriorate.
Its funny my father never gave me any restrictions , i think that's what saved me in life was the ability of my parents trusting that they were always doing their best and at the end of the day leaving the rest up to me .
