Sincere thanks for the teachings and prayers of Father Jenkins. Happy Easter to everyone and we pray to the God, Jesus and Mother Mary to give all students and parents of the University of Notre Dame the best in their lives. (Mr) Thu van Bui
Hey John. We look to be about the same age. Same first name, too. I lived in Sorin Hall. Third floor. In the front, next to the north turret. My first Sunday at Notre Dame I got up, put on a suit, toddled over to Sacred Heart, maybe fifty yards to my left, went inside for 11:15 mass, sat in the back on the right. After waiting a while, I glanced down at my watch, saw I had five more minutes to wait.....thought to myself.....hey......I don't have to do this any more.......got up, left, and never went back. To this day. My last Sunday as a Catholic was my first Sunday at Notre Dame.. Pretty ironic, wouldn't you say. Anyway, to this day, forty-eight years later, I remain cured of theism and all the mythology attached thereto - including and especially the fictional Jesus figure. Life isn't a Game of Thrones, son, with eternal winners and losers - save for the superstitious and lesser evolved among us. I'll always cherish my time at Notre Dame as the place that set me free. Free to look at and to treat everyone as equals and not in terms of saved or lost, chosen or unchosen, sanctified or unsanctified, elect or non-elect, redeemed or unredeemed, wheat vs chaff, and so on. Sad for you that you are still prisoner to such binary madness. Be well.

I don't listen to the serially lost. Theism is the bane of the mentally/intellectually disenfranchised. It is adult make-believe. This pious guy also supported the worst human being in our history short of our serial killers for President.

How interesting that you felt compelled to share this in response to such a wonderful message from Fr. John. Makes one wonder why?
