It is easier to use a pitcher or measuring cup with the pointed spout to get the water inside the container without spilling all over your table. You can stick your finger in the top to feel when the water level has dropped.

Love this centerpiece! What are the berries and the yellow that are put in after the berries? Anyone know?
Hypericum berries & yellow was solidago. You can also find faux versions of these at places like Joann & Michael's.
