not gonna lie, I kiiiinda went into my first floor realization without prepping for it.. the game asked if I wanted to view the last episode of Malkuth's floor, and I clicked "yes" expecting just dialogue.... and then this came on, and it was battle time. (don't worry, I won but that fifth teammate died kinda early on bc honestly, what was she going to do with the default combat pages at ~30hp)
I had the same thing happenning to me but instead of just being unprepared i was also not equiped. It pretty much goes without saying that i lost in the first phase.
I actually did these with burn phillip card and the previous burn cards with a lot of draws and plus light cards, i managed to make it till the last one with a super buffed ego page employ with the ability to recover stagger and hp so he just 1v1d the final boss because everyone else wws dead

I may be making a controversial opinion here, but I actually like the original version of this particular realization theme more than the remixed version. Don't get me wrong, both the original and the remix here are great, and the third phase remix is fantastic even compared to the original third phase, but the original first phase I feel just is so much better at expressing Angela's grief and rage in a cohesive fashion. Angela, especially in the first phase of her fights, is in *horrible* pain. For Malkuth, it's when the scars of being abandoned by Ayin are torn open. The fallen apple. For Yesod, it's the hopelessness she feels in knowing her actions beyond the script set for her are worthless, that she is damned no matter what she tries to do. The devil's gunman. For Hod, it's having to watch and see as all these people she can't help but come to care for are broken down into twisted vessels just waiting to snap. The black swan. For Netzach, it's her denial that she wants others to know her pain despite knowing deep down that it's true, which ends up consuming her. The song nobody hears but everyone listens to. With that being said, the added part doesn't really feel quite as true to the nature of these fights during the first phase. Perhaps it is still fitting for Netzach's realization battle, given that the new part of the first phase gives of a feel of 'indignation', but having it replace all the prior phase one realizations feels a little like an overreach. I'm all for mixing things up and adding to what's already there, but sometimes less is more, especially when it comes to matters of the mind and heart.
i think project moon intended for all realizations to sound like this, because according to people on reddit and some friends, the previous realizations now have this theme too. i still like your viewpoints in the symbolism of the music though, makes me wonder if they will have a new theme for middle and upper floors.
Dude out of the 4 Angela realisations so far, I resonated with Malkuth and Yesod floor realisations the most and found the battle flavour texts for the relevant aspect of suffering most fitting. I feel that the aspects of Angela's anguish relevant to those two floors were the best conveyed out of the four. Malkuth's floor conveyed the image of a human child who longed for nothing but her father's affection and recognition really well and hit me really deep, while Yesod's floor depicted the image of said innocuous child who wished for nothing more than the good of those she worked with and around her, yet was beleaguered by tens of thousands of loops and forced to pull the trigger(no pun intended) on precisely those she wanted to save, the devil's gunman as you put it(yes that one abno, der something). All in all, almost every abno for those two realisations had very deep and meaningful relevances to the scar that Angela was bearing as shown in those two floors. Together, they depict the image of a virtuous child filled with humanity that was born into the world knowing nothing except a sense of familial connection to her father, her creator, and with it a longing for his attention and recognition. Rejected and viewed with contempt by the only person she felt deep kinship and affection for, this same pure and holy child was forced to dirty her hands and commit atrocities to the very people she wished to protect and care for till darkness creeps into her heart and said sweet, pure child is corrupted into someone cruel, bitter, cynical and calculating, all the while hurting inside as that is not her true self but a self she was forced to adopt, an iron maiden thorny both inside and outside. And my lord, I haven't even gotten to the music which is the main point of this thread. The rapid ascension of notes and racy pacing of the instrumentals do a sublime job at capturing the desperation that is true to the very human struggle Angela faces as she combats with her two selves regularly and particularly in these realisations. I particularly like music that conveys this sense of desperation, I don't know why. Perhaps because it's something simply so intrinsic to human nature that spans our entire life time, our desperate search for ourselves in every little thing we do, every choice we make.
I really wish I could recall the battle flavour text but I can't, I just know they were really impactful and added a lot more to the fights for something so ostensibly insignificant.
As for Hod and Netzach floors, I don't feel like the message was conveyed as brilliantly as the earlier two, but I think that's obvious since you run out of great ideas eventually, only leaving you with the good. The abnos, flavour texts, song and message didn't mesh quite as well to bring out the essence of Angela's suffering in these floors.
Of note is Angela's facial expression in Malkuth backstory cutscene too, which just screams to me a sense of apprehension and uncertainty about one's environment and future so common when one lacks the maturity to deal with overwhelming unfamiliarity, aka kiddy expression. Angela's hairstyle also changes from a more childish one to a more adult version, further symbolising her deviation from her natural good and innonence to corruption and cynicism.
POV:You are a かみかぜ(kamikaze)pilot in world war 2 and when you see your target(enemy ship) beofre you hit it, your brain thinks and it shows your memories and more before the 5 seconds are up.. 1 second. Its all over.. (The song is related to this situation)

And after you hit the ship, it gets critticaly damaged but not fully sunk yet, and you die and you get to rest after serving as a pilot.
