This was my exact experience and it really sucked. I’m barely turning 18 and I’m struggling to feel complete and this made me feel better and remind me that it’s okay. I’ve been looking for people with the same condition so that way I could relate to them and not feel alone but no one responds. If anyone has this condition as well and has went through this PLEASE let me know if we can talk. I need an adult to tell me they’re experience so that way I kinda know what to expect. MRKH definitely sucks and I feel for the girl because I have it too I also have type one and I went the surgery route I still have to dialate everyday... I understand how crushing it is mentally I still have anxiety talking about it. MRKH isn’t a joke and I am glad she shared her story more people need to be aware.
I don't see this condition as cosmetic. It affects health so it should be covered by the insurance.

I had mine in school and I was wearing white pants 😭 I just skipped 3-9 period and hid in the bathroom 😬😬
I woke up one morning and lifted up my blanket to see that I bled through my pad, shorts and got everything on my bed. I rushed to the bathroom, took off everything and sat there as I kept leaking with no way to stop it other than to wait. I was told by my mother that my periods were gonna be heavy since hers also were, but I had no clue that they were this bad. I was in there for 2 hours
Honestly though I was wanting my period up until I finally got it at 14, so I really can’t complain about anything

Then since that had never happened to me before I went to the office and asked to call my mom for a change of clothes and they didn’t understand it was an emergency, so I told the office dude “I didn’t pee myself”... it was so awkward

I think that it’s nice that you have come to cope with your medical issue. You made a very adult decision to try dilation. It must have been very hard to go through all this with no answers for so long. Just remember, physical parts don’t make a woman. What makes a woman, is the ability to do the right thing even if it’s not what you want. What makes a woman is treating others not how you see them on the outside, but how you see them within. While I am only 13, I feel that you made the right decisions and I really hope that you continue to have an amazing life!

Women almost always have a very negative or hormonal reaction to finding out they can't have kids, even those who don't want them. There's something very upsetting about finding out you don't function properly as a woman in that way. Also there's birth control you can take so you don't get your period as often. Oh and dilation is an extremely painful process. Imagine making a wound wider and wider, and hoping it heals properly.

That's wild because I was late too. Seeming like the same thing she went through with the hospital checking in all. I was the oldest in my class and all of the younger girls told me what it was like to have a menstrual cycle. You do feel weird, but you would never figure to have to hear that news. Glad I was just late. Anyway she sounds like a half Angel or something. Never heard of somebody born without their special parts as that. They never found out until just then? Still when you are late that usually means you get a very late menopause too. Which I hated way past the age of 50.
