Thanks for the video, placing the hook on would’ve been helpful as well, just to get an idea of how your close the gap that would hold the hook. Also, the size of the eyes that you use on the jigs in the description would’ve been helpful too
@@MattLunaFishing Note to self not to try boring myself lol. Might just have to do some hard scraping and fluxing to get my pot back to good. Thanks man
What i do a lot too is when the pot is super hot, I’ll shove something up the spout to clear everything out. A nail that is the rights size works well.
Have you ever had issues with the 1oz and 3/4 sticking in the mold? I use a pliers to get them out but I always end up destroying the bait. What do you do in that situation? And as always man thanks for the video! Always look forward to these bait making videos
I actually have made those sizes for myself. I’ve only made lighter ones. Try adding some dry lube to the mold. Spray it through the top of the mold. That will probably help.
Cool looking setup man. You make it look easy!! Lol
Making the lead stuff is pretty easy over all. Much shorter learning curve than plastics

Did you bore out that lead pot nozzle? It flows super good
No i didn’t. I did that on old one and ended up ruining the pot. I just leave a lot of lead in the mold at all times

@@MattLunaFishing Welp you were spot on- poking a finishing nail in with some pliers fixed my issue completely. Had to report back. Thanks again
Awesome! Glad i was able to help!
What size are the stick on eyes
Not sure off the top of my head. The mold tells you though.
Have you ever tried using hooks in that mold?
No i haven’t. I have the poison tail jig which is this head with a hook
