I am super excited to collaborate with Liz Besanson in this high-end dollar tree DIY video. We challenged each other to make high-end home decor using selected Dollar Tree items.
I made some large textured wall art using raffia material as well as a vintage style clay pot using a balloon and some paper mache. By the way, these would be perfect for fall 2021. Let me know which project you will be trying!

Liz, I wish you had atleast tried to pronounce Jorges name right once. He says it every time in his videos and it’s the smallest courtesy you could have offered.

@@reninrayan9277 I guess you never watched the video since he CLEARLY states how he pronounces his name either way right out the gate. If you’re gonna make a comment, at least watch the video and use wisdom.
I don’t think it’s going to get through to you but I’ll give it a shot. If you’ve seen any of his videos you ll notice this is the first time he mentions ‘George’ and it becomes clear why as soon you come in. In all your wisdom you seem to have missed this basic thing.

The Vase is AMAZING...... The Weaving of the ART WORK IS SUPER NICE......
In elementary school we made paper mache glue out of flour and water, ripped the strips, which kept them from having edges, and dipped the strips in, which is much faster than painting glue on.

Weave piece is awesome!!!! I'd put glass in front to protect but man is it fantastic!!!
LOVED both but, the weave art was my favorite and by using the black mat and frame made it a dramatic piece❤️.

Use paper towels for paper mache. Adds a little texture too.

You really pushed the limits of creativity with both the choice of the Dollar Tree items out of the ones you were assigned (hula skirt and balloons) and what you created with them. Both the vessel and wall art are beautiful, but I am blown away by the woven piece. It is mesmerizing. I’m even feeling compelled to make one. Thank you for the inspiration. I enjoy your conversational, relaxed narration, too.
they came out really nice....George if you want more texture try adding some glue and sand as well as baking soda to your paint it turns out very cool i just did a couple dollar tree vases the other day

I fricken love the vase but don't have patience for the paper mache! However, I'm definitely taking the hula skirt idea to an existing vase! :)
WOW, both of your projects were beyond beautiful.
you should wrap the whole bottom of the vase in twine. It would hide the cut edges of the rafia. Just a thought :)
