My dad has been saying for years I would loose the eye sight I have at 20/10. That has been from when I was 30, twenty years ago. Just got checked, still 20/10, but due to all the computer work I do I need glasses for the computer and bifocals for reading even with 20/10. right now my eyes adjust for the test, but the one thing I can not focus on up close, so I'm far sighted. I had that problem from 26 to 28when I grew another inch and needed bifocals for those 2 years.

So you remove the droplines every year and sanitize them? How much production increase do they claim you get doing that? And do you have trouble with the quick connector leaking?

Are you using a connector or a quick connect fitting of some kind for the dropline piece that comes out of the woods?
Is that totally replaced each year along with the spouts, or what’s the procedure with the piece that comes out of the woods?
Just finished today at Goodrichs in Eden- 64,150 gallons

You've mentioned before about how the drop lines are sanitized ( a video of that coming up ? ) but are the main lines also sanitized with some solution run through them as well. I am surprised there is even a need to sanitize due to the simple fact that in the process of reverse osmosis filtering and then boiling that volume to create the end product which is pumped into the barrels, wouldn't that ensure a perfect product. Really no different then boiling water to ensure its safety in drinking it or am I missing something ?

@@tarefoot I've found if the taps and lines don't get sanitized, a yucky crud grows in them because of the natural sugars in the sap. Enough that could possibly produce "off-flavors" in next years sap. You also don't want any loose crud getting in your reverse osmosis filters and requiring that they be cleaned (flushed) sooner than necessary. Even though there are pre-filters, small particles would get through to the RO filters.

What kind of Tees are you using to be able to take the drop off the tee? I see it’s D&G taps. I looked in the 2022 D&G catalog, but can’t find anything. I would like to take them off and clean them also.
