Lovebites was my first introduction to japanese music and I love them ever since!
I thought I know all of their music, but I missed some songs from EPs and Singles so I need to hear those before I will see Lovebites live myself in June :D

A very unique song for LOVEBITES in both music style & performance.
I particularly enjoy Midori's expressions of support & admiration for Miyako,
and the melodic duet right after Midori's tapping solo
And remember, Miyako is mid-pregnancy at this show (!)
Speaking of Iron Maiden, what a "Trooper" Miyako is to complete these shows, for us!
The songs in this show, & performed with Miho, who wrote "Golden Destination" and
6 other songs in the setlist ... this is a 'document' of an era that I will always treasure,
though I have a bit of sadness for Miho's absence today.
She is "Mother" ... from 'conception' to 'maturity' & without her, no LOVEBITES.

Funny because I think it was the second Lovebites song I heard, after Holy War (which is still my favourite). As an Iron Maiden fan, that opening riff very much in their style had a big effect on me. And as someone who lives in Britain, the video really grabbed me too. Although finding they had been to my small city but I missed them made me kick myself! What's worse is that I'm not able to see them this summer either due to work commitments.
I discovered them in 2020 and then found out they were in a city 50km away from where I live in 2019 and had the same reaction as you 😂
But I´m gonna see them 3 times this year, so I guess I´m ok now 😉

„Golden Destination“ is also song 3 on „Electric Pentagram“, so I‘m wondering a bit that you haven’t heard it. The footage in the video is from their 2019 UK tour with Dragonforce. You noticed Herman Li wearing a white dress 😂
Yeah I must have heard it before if it's on there 🤔 I actually went through their whole discography to find the songs I missed, but it seems I messed up 😅

OK - never heard this song. Its good. I should not be surprised. They always make good songs. And they have made 100+ songs. So - why not a good song I have not heard?
Miho was in this video the only videos with new bassist Fami are after October 2022 everything before 2022 is Miho the founder on bass.

Golden Destination is also the 2nd song on their Electric Pentagram album, so if you´ve heard this...
Anyway, I always love their Iron Maiden style songs and this is no exception. Probably my favorite song on the album.
They were on tour with Dragonforce in the UK in 2019 and you can see Herman Li wearing a white dress at their last concert. Btw, have you seen Herman Lis`video of auditioning for Band-Maid? He´s wearing a Maid costume in it 🙂
Spellbound and Puppet on strings are really awesome songs, too. Better imo than some on the actual Electric Pentagram album 🙂

@@stand.and.deliver.5 I think it has a really unique feel for Lovebites, almost melancholic, and I like that a lot. Especially Asami is great in it.
Overlooked it at first, but after a few listens recognized the beauty in it. One of my favorites now.

Cool Reaction! Thunder Vengeance (orchestral version) is actually, for me, a bit better than the origional version on Electric Pentagram, which is quite the opposite of what I feel regarding Holy War, since I'm not a big fan of the album version, too much keyboard, compared to the "Five of the Kind" live version. I guess this song is like a follow-up to "The Crusade" from "Battle Against Damnation", also Maiden inspired obviously.
"Golden Destination" was the band's first single taken from their third LP "Electric Pentagram". The single was released in Japan about 3 weeks after the LP.
Seems like I must have heard it before because I know the whole album. Sorry for misleading title, I'll change it once I get home 😉👍
Thank you. An uplifting Miho song to start my day ! I have been enjoying your reactions to LOVEBITES and my other 'favored' band I am getting more familiar with, ASTERISM. You have alot of their songs that I will be watching in the near future. Phenomenal band & Haruka is possibly the most 🔥 on stage that I have ever seen & heard!

@@react-o-mat Even though you have heard all the earlier songs there are numerous LIVE performances of each throughout their existence & same songs with Fami now on bass. I have never heard an objection to a 'reaction' to a different performance. I enjoy each for it's own unique qualities, and as much as I appreciate Fami, I remain in awe of Miho's contributions in concept, compositions and performance-style.
If you are not aware, there is a studio-LIVE 'one-take' performance of their entire first album, "Awake Again, LIVE from Abyss" from 2020 that is awesome and their first Blu-ray "Battle In The East" has every song from both "Awakening From Abyss" and "Battle Against Damnation" performed LIVE in Tokyo shortly after winning Metal Hammer's "Best New Band" award. There is not even one song or performance that I would 'pass' on.

The thing is just that I watch a lot of reactions myself and probably Babymetal and Lovebites the most, so I've also seen a lot of the live performances too.
Also I don't usually like to do reactions to songs I already heard, because there's just so much else out there that I have never heard if that makes sense 😅
You also won't find any Babymetal live reactions here for example even though they are my absolute favourite band and would get tons of views, but I'd rather just check out something new 😉
