- Definitely had to have been one one the busiest days that I have seen in years however, the canyon did have a storm warning up which maybe let to more trains during daylight. THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT! Let me know if you'd like another Feather River video!

Love the shot of the Keddie Wye!
This is a truly fine video. Great scenery, fine downhill train handling by the locomotive engineers, colorful consists, a waterfall, and even a War Bonnet in the first locomotive drought. Thank you from Pennsylvania. CAS
Better footage at first half. Thanks for sharing.

Great video! Great quality!
Im always up for a Feather River video! If you're willing to brave the wilds (How high were you on the overhead?) I'm willing to watch. I live in the desert, so trees and water are a good thing! Thanks for the great video.
Nice Catch
Great video hope you got out before the storm if it happened.
I sure did
Very nice, need to travel out here
Nice LONG trains
Fakebonnet was cool 😎😎
Definition of American trains - long and oh so slow!
I always remember my father when we were kids in Alabama, and had to stop and wait for a LONGGGGG L&N freight train. We would count the cars, and Daddy would always explain the the L&N meant "long and nasty."
whats with the single stack? thought the tunnels were bored out for double stacks years ago
It is in the canyon and on the UP side of things but not on the BNSF side
is the other part of the why the old Western Pacific portion still used by Union Pacific or is that the one that they don't really run trains up through?
At about 9:30, the BNSF is heading up the inside gateway to Oregon. Behind that train is the central Calif. region; Sacramento, Oroville, ..; to the left is Portola , Nevada, Utah...
@@maddennis55 cool thanks I thought somebody mentioned that there was a portion of the feather river that wasn't being used or was that a while back when they had the slide and they had to close it cuz I think it was the highway there that runs up through there but I can't remember off the top of my head..I just remember that there wasn't much train action at all coming up through Katie Junction and the feather River they were all going the other way on a different route
@@truckerkevthepaidtourist I don't know of any mainline shutdowns. Any slides would be taken care of real quick. This former WP ( now UP ) route is a constant 1% grade, and is a primary route.
There is a branch line that runs from the Ca/Nv border that goes to Reno. This is a stiff grade that crosses the highway many times. I don't know the current status now.
where in america is feather river as it not on my map and state
