Denny and Charlie (and the rest of the cast) are so wonderful. Follow them on instagram for all the content I can't see because I no longer have access to my instagram password. Denny: instagram.com/dennylove4real/?hl=en
    Charlie: instagram.com/charliefplummer/?hl=en
    Kristine (who plays Alaska): instagram.com/kristine_froseth/?hl=en
    Sofia (who plays Lara): instagram.com/sofiavassilieva/?hl=en
Jay Lee (who plays Takumi): instagram.com/jayeasyontheeyes/ (which he is)
So grateful to them and to everyone in the cast and crew working so hard on this project. -John

I loved the book so much. Still my favorite. The best part for me is when he finally has the realization that it's not all about him. It was heart breaking. And I personally think that the meaning to life is to live. Get through the bad stuff to get to the good. And when it's really good is when you are really living. I've had some horrible things happen to me as a kid and Alaska herself really resonated with me when I first read it. I was 15 and dealing with a lot of pain. But the way miles cared to truly understand was mind blowing to my teenage brain. That people could care that much was beautiful.

Hearing about how much the book has meant to Charlie for years makes me so, so happy that he's playing Miles. He doesn't look the way Miles looked in my head but he feels like Miles in so many ways and knowing that he cares about the story as much as many of the readers do means so much more to me than anything else. Obviously screen adaptations can never be the same as the source material but I trust that Charlie (and the rest of the cast/crew) is committed to preserving the spirit and the essence of Miles, and that is deeply comforting.
Edit: aww aww aww I just read the description and hearing that one of the directors watched the original Brotherhood 2.0 only boosts my trust in this project even more.

The show did such an amazing job, and showed everything exactly as I imagined it.
Honestly happy the book didn’t get made into a movie, I think a show fit a lot more.
I’m extremely happy my favorite characters finally came to life, and each actor played them PERFECTLY.

I cannot believe this is finally happening!!! 14 year old me is sobbing.
I graduated high school from a private Christian school, and during our last week we had to do "Senior Chapel", where all the seniors give their testimony or read a bible verse, basically we give our parting words to all the other students (this school was K-12). I quoted the Rabia Basri quote, I think I actually saw my principal's blood boiling under his skin, I just hope one student listened, because that quote changed my world. Thank you John, I absolutely can't wait to see your work come to life.

Ugh, I love this so much. Looking for Alaska was the first John Green book that I read (in... 2014?), and I fell in love with the story, the characters, John's writing, and then vlogbrothers videos after I went on a Google spree looking for more John Green stuff. It's so great that this is finally happening, and John's face when these kids talk about the book, and when John sees real life adaptations of his novel, it's so sweet and makes me tear up. (YAY!!)

I was terrified to see this be turned into a movie because I couldn’t see a movie being long enough to have everything that’s so important about this book. A mini series is a perfect way to do it. Very excited, this is going to be beautiful.

I'm so glad that they picked Charlie to play Miles. He's not at all what I envisioned Miles to look like, but Charlie is an incredible actor. If anyone hasn't seen him in the movie Lean on Pete, and is up for little indie movie about a horse and his boy, it is absolutely wonderful and heartbreaking, primarily due to Charlie's acting. I trust he'll do wonderful with Miles as well.

I have yet to read the book, and I probably won't have access to Hulu when the show launches, but watching this made me want SO DESPERATELY to read the book. I should start using my library card again, put it on my hold list...
I'd love to buy the book, of course, but my monthly net income at the moment is negative. When that swings enough into the positive, though, I'll have to pick up a copy and also sign up for Hulu!
Also, this was one of those videos that made me wish I could like it more than once. That only happens a few times a year, and I probably average a dozen or more RUclips videos each day, so please consider that to be high praise!

That was quite possibly my favorite video ever. I remember reading LFA 6 years ago as a freshman and I would stay up until 3 or 4 in the morning for probably 2 weeks so I could read some more. I have no idea how anyone can read a whole book in a day I think I’m the worlds slowest reader!! John, I love you and everything you’ve done for the world. THANK YOU❤️
