    And since when is Maltesers essential for anybody ?

    It is a good place. We frequently go to Rogers Wholesale in Southampton. A couple of weeks ago I bought a case of 12 x 250g boxes of gluten free pasta for £4.50. They had 2 types, green pea pasta and red lentil pasta, I got a case of each.
    Being gluten free it is expensive (I can't eat wheat). What we buy is very good quality. There is often something they sell that I need or would like.
    Occasionally we also visit Roger's wholesale in Poole as well.

    I've shop at Roger since they had the first shop in Wimborne, they now have 4 warehouses it saves us over 300 month and we share between 5 families.

    Best before date food - usually known as a 'Food Bank' that doesn't usually cost you 'ANY MONEY' to begin with. I can't believe people are actually turning this into a business.
    Unreal !!!!

      Food banks are perfect for some who prefer to spend their money on cigs and beer, that’s why the free food is a bigger draw, than this warehouse I guess.

      @@rayvinloony2322 Those people do exist - but I speak from experience, when I say that a good percentage actually need a leg up in life, not a dent in their already lacking funds.

      @Scott Smith That's your opinion and somewhat lacking in reality. I've said, that I know such people exist. I've worked with homeless people and it's amazing how tribal and agressive some of the general public can become towards someone who's just down on their luck and needs a 'leg up'.
      So, no - I disagree on your supposed assessment.

      Where I live there is a fare share community larder where you make a specific payment (£2.50, £3.50 or £5.00, depending on how many people live in the house) each time you visit. You then get given 1-3 crates of food depending on what you paid. You don't choose what you get and some things are close to use by or best before date but it can be useful. Have used it occasionally.
      Anyone in the community can use it, we just have to register to do so.

    But it's not real food it's snacks ,they are places 3 of them in Hull called stack em high . Increase in obesity and poor diet will not help

    • @rachelpenny5165
      @rachelpenny5165 2 года назад

      It is not all snacks. We have bought soups, baked beans, gluten free pasta, curry sauce, rice, Isabel gluten free batter mix, oats, breakfast cereals, various sauces, Marmite peanut butter . Even bought some fruit smoothies. Yes there is a lot of snacks and soft drinks, but you can often find some decent stuff in there as well.
      I can't eat wheat so have to get gluten free stuff which is expensive, so if I can get some these items in one of these shops then I will.
