Oh, I like the “Batman & Robin Year One” issue 1. Along with “The Last Halloween,” it is gonna be sweet year for the Boy Wonder ❤️💛💛. Also, I am looking to read the end of “Robin Lives” and “Batman: Dark Age.” Lastly, sad it is the end of the 😢 Taylor & Redondo run on “Nightwing,”🥺 but next week DC All-in Nightwing by Watters & Soy begins 🫨(things a gonna be different and tbd what Is in store 😬)… plus the Justice League card is the Blank One (too bad not an artist 🧑🎨) smile face or sticker it will be LoL 😆
All the Ghost Machine stuff, Absolute Batman #2, Absolute Superman and Wonder Woman, Conan, and ... buying a new comic book box, hoping it will stack on the others without breaking them or falling over because I'm outta room!
It does feel like we're exiting the dark age that started in the mid 2010s. Creatives are speaking to the public more, there's less top down hostility and I think over time we'll see less hostility from the audience too once they feel heard again. It's a good time to be into comics again.
@@VirgilOvid it’s so funny you mention that because for a while I moved to anime and manga when the DCEU and MCU began crumbling a bit. But now it’s getting really annoying and hostile over there lmao. I’m finding it much friendlier in the comic space again and it’s looking good in every aspect. Comics, shows, movies. It’s like a pendulum swinging back
Scott Snyder answered a question I had about Batman's villains without giving too much away, so I'm happy. Great interview, Sasha! Looking forward to ABM #2!
I know you'd don't need the praise from RUclips commenters when actual comic creators are on your show, but you are a really good interviewer and Scott seems like a really nice guy.
The Joker as a rich dude who trained reminds me of the Mark Millar Nemesis comic (the second one) conceptually. Curious to see if Lucious Fox exists in this universe as well, perhaps as a former instructor of Bruce, fellow faculty of Thomas or what.
It’s been so long since I have followed a comic series as it releases, but these videos have absolutely sold me on going out of my way to seek these all out. They all sound like such interesting fresh takes on characters that, while not stagnant, have been pretty set in stone for awhile.
Scott Snyder's original N52 run with Greg Capullo will always have a special place with me, one of the first comics runs I've ever read. It's so surreal to see him back on an ongoing Batbook that's even more new and fresh, and making the rounds like this. Absolutely love the art by Nick Dragotta too. Not gonna lie, wasn't super excited at first but the first issue won me over hard.
I did not notice that this was a 50 minute video -- it's great hearing Scott explain his perspective on the creation of the Absolute Unit -- great questions also on behalf of the fans!!!
I tip my hat to Snyder for doing more to interact with readers by engaging online. Now will he brave a livestream next time? 😆 Thanks for this one, Sasha, digging Casually Comics.
Love his passion for not just his work but all others at all other companies! Great shoutouts to other series I 've been loving! I love hearing Snyder talk about things so openly, even throwing spoilers out, and it just gets me more excited to see them. The idea of modern heroism is greatly potent. Also love how easy-going he is with the internet culture. Feelin' that passion and the success of AB1 is well-deserved! Great interview!
I'm ABSOLUTELY pumped for DC in general right now, not just the Absolute line itself. Whatever DC is paying Scott isn't enough for the hype/publicity he's doing recently.
Hearing everything about bane and joker I'm excited to see them in this new spin on it. Gen Z batman whos more chaos than order is such a great idea, I loved the first issue with his mom being alive and its such a needed change for the character in general and even DC as a whole. Scott Snyder is an amazing writer. I loving the ideas behind the absolute universe and have high hopes for wonder woman and superman. Also if Absolute batman gets an Absolute format book with it be called Absolute absolute Batman? or Something like Batman AF.
Great interview, love Scott Snyder and his work. First thing I read of his was American Vampire and from there on I’ve followed his work. Finally got around to reading my copy of Absolute Batman and I love the little changes to this versions mythos, one of my favorite parts was Bruce and Waylon’s conversation about replacing the punching bag😅. Hope you get a chance to have him on to talk about Arcbound. Have a wonderful weekend.
I am the fan you talked about. I have always loved heroes and these stories. Have known most of them my whole life, but have never bought a comic until all in and absolute Batman. Gonna cherish it forever.
So happy for Scott over the last 15 years of success really putting his stamp on another level of Batman with this run while making it adjacent to the prime earth and shout out to his severed horror book AND what a great message at the end telling everyone to go support ALL comics not JUST DC because we've all gotten burnt out with the live action medium and seeing this rekindled love for books is awesome another great job sasha 🦇🦇🖤🖤👑👑🙏🏾🙏🏾
19:38 I hope he’s just talking about two face has me worried about this croc seems like a great dude lol I almost don’t even want him to become a villain!
I hope somewhere down the line as Absolute Batman grows there will be a animated movie based off this in the works. I'm already waiting for the McFarlane Absolute Batman comes out. Keep up the good job.
In part the changed trilogy really reminds me of justice league gods and monsters. It'd be really cool to get an absolute universe movie like it down the line.
i love these videos so much, Scott is so good at bringing his enthusiasm for comics and Sasha is great to bounce these ideas off of, great questions and i look forward to more
Could you consider a Kevin Conroy tribute? Nov 10th marks 2nd anniversary of his death. I got a voice acting background and his voice was an inspiration for me since the Animated Series. I made a tribute to him using the classic Batman toys with footage from Arkham and Injustice but I don't got ur reach, and he deserves much bigger tribute.
Scott got me into monthly comic books when I was a kid in high school. All-In brought me back to the store for the first time since the pandemic tbh. Thanks for the follow up video!! ❤
The book was great! Nick Dragotta's art has such an animated style. Congrats to Scott Snyder. Seems like the years of planning this new initiative has paid off. if my sentences seem short i just got eye surgery and can barely see. no comics for a while :(
The cape design gotta be one of the best reinventions of the character. It's rooted deeply within Bruce's character. It's a little character of it's own.
I always love these interviews cause they always make me excited for comics! I’ve been reading Wytches and it’s very powerful I understand the feeling of being scared of what kind of parent I would be. Absolute Batman Conan the barbarian and all the fun classic comics that are more accessible than ever! It’s an exciting time to be a comic fan!
"Don't worry, all these people Bruce knows and loves dearly, and whom you all will come to know and love dearly? They'll be all be disfigured and dragged into more and more danger. It's a canon event." -Me, taking artistic liberties while quoting Scott Snyder, assuaging our concerns about classic Batman rogues
I’ve been getting collected editions for a couple years now, and I have a DCU Infinite subscription. Absolute Batman #1 is the first single issue I’ve ever bought. I think we’re really seeing something new and refreshing happening, and I want to keep up with it
I know dude a joker that's been trained by the league is crazy think of all the possibilities and things we can see it makes me wonder what happened to Ra's al Ghul in this universe
Has it really been two months since the last Scott Snyder interview? I feel like I just watched it and I watched it the week it came out. Does time feel like it's moving fast for anyone else? This is been a more noticeable problem for me since I became an adult. Anyone else feel this or am I going crazy?
Bane being big is awesome.. cuz this Time batman is like Bane in mainline.. If you're that big and be dwarfed by someone..is an awesome scene.. about the villains well in issue 1 that was obvious they are going to turn and it's such a brilliant move.. this Batman is something unique and im all in..
What sort of clickbait is that thumbnail? I didn’t see Batman throw up! Jk I really like your channel. Later: Continuing to watch the video, I remembered that your humor is why I like your videos.
So that's the reasoning behind the new Joker. We can wait a little bit for Absolute Batman to establish himself before Joker comes crashing in as one of the most dangerous people in the world.
Absolute professor pyg is a crime if it will not happen, also ventriloquist Arnold wesker Snyder take on them in absolute will be a delight and a keystone to greatness
First of all don’t go woke. Second absolute proffesor pyg is a must. Third is there a guide to all in as a whole like what is the order after the all in special to read
Could you please turn on the subtitles? English is not my first language, so it would really help me understand the video better. Thank you so much for your consideration!
His joker sounds like he's gonna be soooooo op. Which i really don't want. I hate god tier joker. i honestly don't see how Batman can beat him in this universe without superpowers
24:45 Yawn. But that's who Bruce Wayne is. If you don't like Bruce then create a new character. And yeah, I know it's a "diFfErEnT uNiVeRsE", everybody is tired of the multi-universe lame trend, it's just a way to justify cheap lazy writing. There are plenty of stories you can make in the REAL universe. But even in a new Earth, you can still write a good story, just like Geoff Johns did in Earth One. Bruce is much more than a generational billionaire, and for one of the biggest Batman writers of recent years to say this and define Bruce Wayne like that is quite alarming. It's not surprising thou, this is modern mainstream comics and they'll do everything to justify the box-checking writing in every way, other than the honest one that is: "We need to follow the big corporations' guidelines in the mainstream." Still, I like this channel and I have quite a lot of Scott's books, I'm not gonna say I'm a big fan but I am a fan. I just wanna show I prefer honesty, less box-checking and more creativity. About the book, the art looks outstanding, and even the Batman new design is cool (minus the cape with superpowers...), but the writing is so... uninspiring... boring, and super predictable.
You're allowed to dislike the changes, but to misrepresent the author's vision as corporate box checking is absurd. How do you watch the video hearing about the behind the scenes, the inspirations for various character designs and the creative freedom given by editorial and dismiss all of that? Like they literally gave Batman a living parent and you think they played it SAFE?
What comics are you excited for?
Batman was already great. I'm excited for Berserk Wonder Woman. I have no clue what Superman even is but it's by Jason Aaron so I'm down!
Diana and Supes have some big shoes to fill
Absolute green lantern
Oh, I like the “Batman & Robin Year One” issue 1. Along with “The Last Halloween,” it is gonna be sweet year for the Boy Wonder ❤️💛💛.

I'm so glad Scott is so public and accessible about everything and has been doing these podcast interviews

Listening to this interview while lifting at the gym to get more absolute definition!
Absolute Gains!

Waylan feels like a Genuinely good guy, judging by how he talked about the community meeting, it seemed like he cared about the people of gotham
Absolutely wonderful interview
I'm ABSOLUTELY pumped for DC in general right now, not just the Absolute line itself. Whatever DC is paying Scott isn't enough for the hype/publicity he's doing recently.
I agree, i really agree Scott deserves the world for what he has accomplished.
Great interview! I enjoyed hearing Scott talk about his creative thoughts around the story and characters.
Love Scott!!!! Thanks for doing this interview!!!
Best comics channel on RUclips!! Thanks Sasha!!!

I just read finished All In and Issue 1 of Absolute Batman, thank you for this perfect timing!
What a pull! Loved his run with Gordon Batman and Bloom
19:38 I hope he’s just talking about two face has me worried about this croc seems like a great dude lol I almost don’t even want him to become a villain!
Congratulations, Sasha 👍
Getting Snyder on your show shows he and everyone in the comics world knows how great your show is 😀💙
This interview was very impactful and inspiring for me. Thank you both for this gift!
Animated adaptations are really hit and miss
i love these videos so much, Scott is so good at bringing his enthusiasm for comics and Sasha is great to bounce these ideas off of, great questions and i look forward to more

Love this! I haven’t been as excited for a DC initiative/Event since 52 & blackest night. Love his passion. It really comes through in the interviews
Scott got me into monthly comic books when I was a kid in high school. All-In brought me back to the store for the first time since the pandemic tbh.
Thanks for the follow up video!! ❤
Great channel, great interview, keep it up!
You are awesome for getting this interview! long time fan I listen to you to bridge my girl over into comics
The book was great! Nick Dragotta's art has such an animated style. Congrats to Scott Snyder. Seems like the years of planning this new initiative has paid off.
if my sentences seem short i just got eye surgery and can barely see. no comics for a while :(
I wish you a swift and easy recovery!
First issue was really good. Super excited for more. On my pull-list and rooting for you.
Sashsa, thank you for another great interview with such a great writer.
I love hearing the two of you talk!
Gosh I have so much respect for this guy. Very excited to read this series.
Awesome interview! 👍👍
Omg another one! I'm excited to watch
Cool interview!
Great interview
So hyped!!! #1 was SOO good!!!
The cape design gotta be one of the best reinventions of the character. It's rooted deeply within Bruce's character. It's a little character of it's own.
I hope they add that every now and then in other batman runs cause it is cool
I always love these interviews cause they always make me excited for comics! I’ve been reading Wytches and it’s very powerful I understand the feeling of being scared of what kind of parent I would be. Absolute Batman Conan the barbarian and all the fun classic comics that are more accessible than ever! It’s an exciting time to be a comic fan!
ITs an amazing time to be a comic fan!! Scott Snyder is one of the best writers out there. I hope one day I get to meet him.
I can't wait till Absolute Batman is published in my country ❤
I can’t wait for Absolute Poison Ivy, I love her character
Absolute Batman is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Scott Snyder Spazzed!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
First of all I can hear you. Secondly congratulations on getting Scott Snyder yet again 🎉. Thirdly I'm amazed you never repeat your getup.
"Don't worry, all these people Bruce knows and loves dearly, and whom you all will come to know and love dearly? They'll be all be disfigured and dragged into more and more danger. It's a canon event."
-Me, taking artistic liberties while quoting Scott Snyder, assuaging our concerns about classic Batman rogues
Absolute Batman is exceptional. love it.
I’ve been getting collected editions for a couple years now, and I have a DCU Infinite subscription. Absolute Batman #1 is the first single issue I’ve ever bought. I think we’re really seeing something new and refreshing happening, and I want to keep up with it
2 Goats 🤯
I just read it, it was amazing Snyder is my guy!
We are Batman! I'm rewatching the old Batman series so even more Batman in comics sounds fun
Scott snyder is my favorite comic book writer I trust him writing absolute batman
can yall do this after every issue
Absolute Joker will be epic considering he trained with and killed the League of Assassins. He even killed Henri Ducard.
I know dude a joker that's been trained by the league is crazy think of all the possibilities and things we can see it makes me wonder what happened to Ra's al Ghul in this universe
Where did you get your bookshelves!!!??? 😗
I love the fact that every once in a while he says things like “creating great stuff… not like I’m creating great stuff” as if he wasn’t Scott Snyder.
Dark knights metal and dc death metal are my favorite comic books of all time
Does his whole thing about the poker game sound a lot like “Almost got ‘em” to anyone else? I’m surprised that’s not been brought up.
It looks like you are both in the same room - paint color match!
😃 Let’s go more dig into the Absolute 💯. Cannot wait to see Wonder Woman of Hell & Fire Fist Supes 🔥
Sasha is wonderful.
I'm honestly hoping they become heroes instead of villains this time around
GO big with Bane for sure!
I've been enjoying Uncannny X-men and Storm
This was fun
Though I'll admit for being in the not a fan of the last page reveal camp.
When I read it, I figured he based absolute joker on Patrick Bateman, and Batman on Reacher. Lol
With Superman 19 coming out wensday it might be time to do a Lois lane superpower list.
What sort of clickbait is that thumbnail? I didn’t see Batman throw up! Jk I really like your channel.
Later: Continuing to watch the video, I remembered that your humor is why I like your videos.
Please tell me you asked him what's going on with Buzz Lightyear on his desk.
So that's the reasoning behind the new Joker. We can wait a little bit for Absolute Batman to establish himself before Joker comes crashing in as one of the most dangerous people in the world.
The way to get me going to the store every week is very simple: Draw the Line at $2.99
I think this energy we feel is the end of the culture war, and fans just want to be fans again.
Absolute professor pyg is a crime if it will not happen, also ventriloquist Arnold wesker Snyder take on them in absolute will be a delight and a keystone to greatness
Dammit I love listening to him but hate when he spoils stuff lol. It’s charming on his part but I like surprises
I never realized he looks a whole lot like Robert Pattinson
You made batman curse don't lie is saw zero year and the batman who laugh graphic novel 😂
Batman extension of duality should be ventriloquist period he have split personality. Harvey have anger issues it’s crazy to see this misunderstanding
Wasnt a fan of the logo until he brought out the bat-tleaxe
SO many spoilers! xD
But he seems fun.
Fuck yes
I don't think think you can keep calling yourself *Casually* Comics if you keep getting all these high profile interviews
First of all don’t go woke. Second absolute proffesor pyg is a must. Third is there a guide to all in as a whole like what is the order after the all in special to read
Could you please turn on the subtitles? English is not my first language, so it would really help me understand the video better. Thank you so much for your consideration!
Thanks for adding the subtitles, I really appreciate it!
His joker sounds like he's gonna be soooooo op. Which i really don't want. I hate god tier joker.
i honestly don't see how Batman can beat him in this universe without superpowers
So he's not the world's greatest detective?
First
2nd!

Plsss try doing the wonderbat ship again❤❤❤
