During the simulation of the internal bore diameter (at timeline 12:13) the colorization of the bore is mostly a green color; but, there are several uniformly spaced vertical stripes of a darker color. What is the significance of these darker stripes? 2. Why did you use a "contour" toolpath versus a "boring" toolpath to create the bearing pocket?
Hey chuck good to hear from you. 1. The vertical lines seem to be how fusion is rendering the simulation. When I zoom in, they mysteriously dissappear. 2. The 2D contour has a faster cycle time. Four seconds compared to 11 in this case. It would be interesting to compare surface finishes though.
