”The blood runs cold in every sea captain who looks upon that flag; they know they’ll be facing a fight to the death. But, sir Francis is a Haddock, and Haddocks don’t flee…”
Steven Spielberg is an amazing producer and " I curse you, I curse your name, and all who come after, we will meet again harrick, in another time, in another life," Best line ever
And what Red Racham said is true, where the descendants of the two of them returned to continue the fight again, namely Captain Archibald Haddock and Ivan Ivanovitch Sakharine
I feel better knowing that the Unicorn could not be taken that easily by this pirate vessel, in a real life scenario. The Unicorn's hull alone would probably be twice or thrice as thick.
@@yasininn76 Yes, but the Unicorn would likely have more than twice the men, including all the career soldiers on board. The pirates would need multiple vessels to stand a chance.
Many pirate ships were overcrewed so they could capture larger vessels, so assuming most of Rackham's crew were highly skilled like they seem to be its not impossible, though still unlikely.
I believe Henry Avery made a similar feat against a 25-ship convoy with only his ship and two other's numbering about 200 or so men total? The vessel they captured had over ninety guns if I remember correctly. Of course, this is just from memory but I'm pretty confident in those numbers.
Newgate Prison was a prison at the corner of Newgate Street and Old Bailey Street just inside the City of London, England, originally at the site of Newgate, a gate in the Roman London Wall. Built in the 12th century and demolished in 1904, the prison was extended and rebuilt many times, and remained in use for over 700 years, from 1188 to 1902.
@@keepitstraightfrrr No, because they said earlier in the movie that the ship had only one survivor; how would you know if the ship had any survivors if all died. They also said that when he returned he created the three modelships before his death, as well as saying his last words: Only a Haddock can discover the secret of the unicorn. He also survived in the comic that this movie was based on [Redited]: Also, how would Haddock and his family know the tale of what happened on the ship if non lived to tell the tale. Francis never survived, then how would anyone know how the ship sunk and that they were attacked by pirates?
With a hat full of gold and in the middle of the ocean, I want to know how Sir Francis was able to bring that much gold back to land and kept it hidden in his estate, where greedy people could have caught him once he reached dry land no less

The agility and skills of Sir Francis is purely unmatched, specially in the final battle aboard the unicorn.
that is true fr
Never realized how cool my childhood was until I realized this
Same here 😃
I get encouraged to keep moving forward whenever I see stuff like this 👍
Probably one of my favorite scenes in any movie ever
Yeah, same
Ye so tension
Still great
Pirate 🏴☠️
0:07 the transitioning from sand to water is impressive
TinTin’s animation continues to hold up even to this day
The way Steven Spielberg and his editor Michael Kahn do these transitions make it seem like an event is taking place and I love it!

Far the most fantastic and impressive fight on ships i ever see

Sir Francis was hardcore.
When I first saw the movie, I thought it was LIVE ACTION.
This is literally the coolest shit ever. I don’t care what anyone says.

Same
To be fair, the most damage seen on screen is done to sails and the cannons themselves

Pirate Captain William Kidd was quite a famous prisoner for Newgate.
People say we shouldn't hunt sharks, but sharks are enemies of sailors. We all hate them
You're dumb as rocks if you think we should hunt sharks
If jack Sparrow met Sir francis and the two had a duel I think it would have been a tie between the two... Just my thought😅
2:36 hahaha, that's one of my favourite parts of the fight
Best scene ever
Anyone noticed that Mr Nicoles looks like Nestor
indeed
They are probably related somehow
Yeah
This surpasses anything in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
Nice video👍
Thanks 👍
Well this is awesome it's just that how can a Frigate ( The Unicorn ) be defeated by a Schooner ( Rackham's ship )
Technically, it didn’t. The pirates were simply able to capture the ship.
I think the ship of Captain red Rakkan is probably named the red pendant
Ketch*
Pretty sure that's a galleon
In history, the HMS speedy, a 14 gun brig, was able to take on a 32 gunbfrigate despite being outgunned and outmanned, so it's not entirely impossible
2:09 That's for killing two of Sir Francis Haddock's crew, you bastard
Watching his men being killed by the sharks was scary at first to watch
Do you mean killed while fighting or being forced off the plank, or both?

Because he’s a pirate
How did Mr nickel survive?
Decendant maybe?
@@X4nder707 Yeah, maybe a brother. Or he could have had a son on a different ship/land
Since Sir Francis is Haddocks decendant, it would make sense that Mr Nickel is Nestors decendant
He didn't survive. He either had a child already or relatives alive who carried on the bloodline. Same with Rackham
