its impressive he was able to figure this whole song out by ear, he also did a fantastic job recording all the parts. ll the levels of all the instrument sound great. just because you can hear the auto tune doesn't make this a bad cover. it adds fullness to the track, and perfects the sound of his voice. good cover man.

I don't know why people expect this to be just like the original, that's not the point. This is a cover, it's just Patty's version of the song, if he wants to add vocal effects, he can. If he wants it to be acoustic, he can make it acoustic. He can literally do whatever he wants, this is his cover and his take on the song.
I dont understand why this has any dislikes. I think this is one of the best covers ive heard from patty.

I hate how underrated and unknown The Wonder Years are. They're like, THE best band in the punk pop revival scene, and so little people know them and that makes me sad.
The Wonder Years are the biggest pop punk band right now. They're far from unknown.
ninjalemurdude I wouldn't say the biggest, that title goes to Neck Deep or TSSF but they are defintely top 5.
E RamCrom Neck Deep, probably. I forget how big they are in Europe, because they're not all the big in the US. TSSF has been dropping in popularity since 2013 though. They're only about as big as Real Friends now. Not sure why.

I just meant that he uses Melodyne and not Autotune. There's definitely pitch correction here, it's probably just a few cents or so. You're not really going to hear it at that point.

God this is such a good cover
This was amazing really! One tiny thing though, the first 'jesus christ' sounded a bit strange because Soupy sings it in a very hurt way, the words are always painful and in the cover, it was like normal if not gentle.
He missed the guitar when he reached for it. I had to rewatch to see it, but I did and it was adorable! c:
