Troy was a huge influence on me and my friend back in the day. Hes the reason we went brakeless.
Same. Rode a warpig for years, 415 chain, triple walls, tiny Castillo bars, 40lbs of dead weight steel. Bunch of little kids with big ass forearms.
Same lol..brakeless and buff
Man troy will always be an icon for me. Dude did his own thing and did it well and continues to do so. Keep shreddin my man
Yea man, no doubt! A true originator - the world needs more people like him. ⚡️🖤
Awesome this dude still rides. I remember he was on S&M and I think my homie, Wiz was on the team with him.
I remember Wiz!!
The legend and still killing !
You could always tell he’s been the real deal over the years. This just solidifies that. 👍
So good, thanks for this video!!
1, the first guy to go no brakeless
2, do a tailwip drop to flat
3,bunny hop whip
Troy was the first I ever seen do them in the 90s
Respect.
Good interview! I was introduced to Troy with the Props Road Fools 5 movie (VHS) in 2000. I also got to meet/ride with Troy and Sammy J for the first time at the Old School BMX Reunion earlier this year :) . BMX is awesome!
Thx Peter, so stoked you enjoyed it!
Hell yea!! The whole crew is the raddest too haha.
Hell yes! Troy is a big inspiration to me!

Troy 100% real...huge influence
Yet the same age...kind of the same childhood situation, my little brother lost a long battle with drugs
I chose bmx ,so i can really relate to this.
Ive Been looking for a flatland frame too, so if you make it...i will find one
Can’t wait to dig into this after work. Troy’s the man.
this rules! meeting and riding with him will forever be one of my fav bmx memories, always been the go to character on mirra 2
I love Troy.. the reason I went brakeless, back in 2000. Ive messaged him a few times on Insta, always sends a quick response . I was luck enough to be touring in the US around 97/98. Driving through downtown Denver I saw a group of riders sessioning a wall ride by a huge church. He was definitely one of them or I like to think it was. .... Is this spot still there ? Big up Troy !!!
I watched Road Fools 5 on VHS yesterday.
Bad ass!!
So good, such a inspiration for me to stay sober and get out on my bike morw
love to hear it. keep fighting the good fight & get out there on that bike amigo!!
@@tractioncoffeecheers bro
Troy is THE reason why I started riding! I've had a few Warpig frames and been brakeless since 1998, all because of Troy! I love this dude!!! Thank you for this iterview!!! 🙏🤘
Love to hear this!! Stoked you enjoyed it - thanks for turning in!
I always had problems with my brake cables snapping because Canadian Tire was the only source for new ones. I saw a pic of Gonz doing a barspin fakie off a tree and they pointed out he was brakeless.
Then I saw Troy brakeless I ripped them off. Part of it was due to being too poor to order from Dan's comp, but we also did it so we couldn't puss out when hitting big gaps because we were also pretty obsessed with Dave Young.
Thanks for sharing Troy M. Christ saves!!!
Glad I caught this . Troy is so badass. Thanks guys 🍻

I always thought he had a good sense of humor. That's what I got out of his videos and interviews.
He really does!
Denver BMX scene is dope AF. I had so many good times back in the day riding with the locals and seshing the Jackson house. Troy's one of the guys who keeps me inspired to never give up riding. Especially riding trails. Shout out to Scott Fife and the move masters days 🤙
It really is dope man!
Couldn't agree more, Troy is an endless inspiration on so many levels.
I don’t think he won the every V Jam. About 97 a dude named Lucky did a loop(back flip)on the V Lip for the first time. I thought he got 1st?
road fools
To many pod casts now.
Love you Troy! Super proud of you!
