We used to always catch massive hybrids very close in on the Huntspill, fought like mad, never seemed to catch as many on the long pole or feeder.
    Nice little vid guys 👍

Love matts videos. But don't know why you film end of pole when you can't see the float. Need a better camera to focus on float.

Thanks for the comment, Jason. If you watch it on a normal big screen TV you can see the float clearly. Matt blacked the tip and dotted it down. But Like i say on a tv you can see it. Cheers.

Fantastic stuff Matt. Like a trip down memory lane, when Bream were the main target, and before the Carp obsession began. I'd chose this type of fishing over any other. One question, would you ever consider this approach in a match situation?

Matt salt has the same effect on fish as humans its a stimulant on the pallet i know some of the bivvy boys actually spod blocks of salt the himalyan verity seems best

Salt does not change the Ph of water , when its added to water it breaks down into ions of Sodium and Chloride , neither of them reacts to water , so adding salt will only change the volume and not the Ph level , altering the Ph level from Ph 7 to 6 for example an acidic solution needs to be added like Lemon juice , to increase its Ph to 8 an alkali has to be added such as baking powder . Altering the Ph of water can be detrimental to the fish

Thanks for your thoughts, Andy. Matt thinks it changes the PH but he isn't sure. Fish love salt as it promotes health and is essential in growth and vitality.

@@mainlinematchfishingtv2921 It definitely doesn't change the Ph , he needs to look it up , salt for freshwater fish can help clear fungus , bacteria and external parasites , but only in small quantities , overdose with salt and it will kill freshwater fish , hence they don't live in the sea , only slightly brackish water
