I've just noticed that ME2 is the only Mass Effect that hasn't been plagued by some form of Controversy (that I know of).

Line from early in the game, "Why are the rocks floating?" "Just go with it!" Speaks to where the Mass Effect series has gone, from technology based on cutting edge science in ME1, to a line like that in ME:A. Not to mention the dialogue is cringe worthy. See a building with some massive flame vortex on top? Ryder says, "It's not a hotel." See some weird floating robot? Ryder says, "It's a flying thing." I'll stop now, My Face is Tired from... Everything. And yes, that last one was also a line from the game.
Well, to be fair, ME has always been much closer to science fantasy than science fiction, especially as the series progressed onwards. But otherwise I agree, the previous games, while they did have really questionable writing at certain parts, never actually made me cringe as hard as basically any random scene from this piece of crap does.
If you don't want Ryder to say jokey casual shit - Then DONT PICK THE CASUAL OPTIONS.
You choices effect Ryders personality. If you want them to more straight faced instead of casual/jokey - Then pick the damn professional/logical options not casual.
I always thought male sheperd sounded like a bland cocky asshole that was phoning his lines in, where as fem shep did a good job, I feel the same for the ryder twins. And I played as a Sarcastic smartass ryder. There were a few really bad lines here and there but for the most part I thought she was good...Addison was fucking terrible though, acts like a bitch then apologizes with "my face is tired "? The fuck ?

Same. I like the game, but man the glitches etc. And the story is certainly lacking. Other issues I noticed: they use Alliance Shuttles in some areas as "Angaran Shuttles", including the interior shot for one of them where the exterior was an Angaran Shuttle... The QA on this game was severely lacking.

Dead space 2 and 3 were both great. I don't think it's necessarily EA, although maybe they did rush Bioware with this one. Still though, 5 years and they crap out a visually displeasing, poorly written, less fun ball of mediocrity? The characters aren't cool or particularly interesting, the villains aren't menacing, the combat is less satisfying, and it's not just that the graphics are bad. All the ambience cleverly woven into the trilogy is missing, the lighting, the crappy excuse for a renagade/paragon system. That sound is good, that's the only nice thing I can say about it. Mass Defect SJW edition. Making the galaxy suck.
Luke Matcham Dead Space 3 was a huge disappointment. So much less horror, which was upsetting after the amazing Dead Space 2. Give EA enough time, and the corporate meddling will set in. Remember Dragon Age 2.

This was BioWare Montreal's game, like Borderlands: the Pre-Sequel was 2K Australia's (last) game. All the BioWare parts were cut out for some reason.
while i don't think they ruined bioware (yet) they've definitely suffered from EA's greedy bullshit (forced release dates, obviously rushed/unfinished production, trying to make AAA titles with budget cuts, ect) I think Andromeda would've done alot better if they had a longer production time and a better budget. I remember seeing somewhere that they had alot less money to work with than the rest of the ME series. Personally i wish they would cut the cord and go back to being an independent studio.

They built up a near-perfect trilogy to have an ultimate conclusion that had nothing to do with the story you were following for the pas 100 hours. That's why it was so bad...

Being honest, the game was actually quite fun. Grest graphics, R&D, funny and lovely team mates, and a good story. I had no bugs in my game :)
Only bad thing I guess is that there is so much content that it's hard to repeat the game from start.

In my 76 hours of playing this game Ive only encountered like 2-3 big bugs like mannequin lexi and and Morda not moving in a cutscene. As well the small things here and there like enemies floating in the distant, but those never really bother me. I've never encountered anything game breaking thankfully. I honestly love this game.

Yeah. I'm a very die-hard Mass Effect fan, and while I'm kinda disappointed in Andromeda, I still really enjoyed it and I enjoy the multiplayer too, even though it's just a ME3 multiplayer in a new skin. Singleplayer was fun too, and yes it has some issues, small and big, but I still like the game, and it looks like Bioware wants to fix it (second patch is about to come out).

Thank you! So hard to find positive comments in ME:A "related posts", love the game, also put about 102 hour or so, 97% completition, lvl 66... I'm planing to start a NG+ after they release all DLC and announce ME:A2 or whatever the name they put. Sure the game isn't as good as ME2 was, but still good, and the graphics on Ultra in 4k HDR are one of the best.
I've started to play ME:A after my 3º playthrough of Witcher 3, so after the uproar of the release of ME:A i was expecting something really shitty, but i truly liked the game, especially after the patch 1.05. The game is far from perfection, but it worth the time and the money IMHO.
I just now completed this game, despite owning it since release. Can confirm this trailer is 100% accuracte. "Blandrameda"

"Straight to dvd" is the most spot-on description of this game I've heard until now.
Its actually pretty good now that's it's been patched, I actually liked the feeling of establishing outposts and the idea of colonizing a new galaxy. Just hope they can make a sequel that continues the story and explains some of the plotholes. They definitely should have released it later though. I really hope Bioware releases another Mass Effect and Dragon Age game.

Whoever designed the UI has NEVER played a game before/wanted to piss off everyone on purpose/was a student on a work experience.......Whoever pointed this person to do it - should be fired.
I can get past the weird animations and no emotions in the dialogs. I can even ignore the bad writing. What I can't ignore - THE FUKING ANIMATIONS EVERY TIME YOU MOVE YOUR SHIP.
I mean seriously, who thought that they did such amazing job on those animations, so you they FORCE YOU to see them EVERY TIME......
At first was cute, until I realised I can't skip them and they have animations for EVERY MOVEMENT ON THE SHIP.......Now I just watch a movie on the background WHILE playing the game.....
And honestly if the person playing your game has to watch a movie to distract himself from boredom - you failed somewhere on the way.....
That spaceship animation scene is actually the loading screen, but it's less jarring than a straight up load screen. This has been stated several times, you big stupid jellyfish!

Andromeda: Better than NMS, but not up to par with the ME franchise.
Honestly if I had a choice between Andromeda and NMS I would choose NMS. NMS was a project of passion by an indie developer that bit off more than they could chew, bought into their own hype and released the game before it was ready. Andromeda is the product of apathy and ineptitude due to the project being handed over to a second rate studio that didn't know what they were doing, with the added joy of a couple "fuck you's" in the form of microtransactions from EA.
Also NMS is actively becoming a better game over time; Andromeda, not so much.
I had started calling it "Dudromeda" but Ass Effect Blandromeda is better. Basically this game cannot top what was first done in 1 & 2. I hate all of the #3 endings since they're not only moronically stupid but also completely uninspiring. When game developers have no capital they need to be creative to cut the mustard, but once they have it they tend to ruin it. Idiots! Turn off the customers and see how fast you lose your edge.
You should do an honest trailer on Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Outlast, or any of the Silent Hill games!

HOLY SHIT WHERE IS NIER: AUTOMATA??
The biggest problems for me was sort of hit home when I completed the memory side quest and heard the transmissions about the Reapers arriving in the Milky Way. First, those transmissions had way more emotional impact than anything in the entire game. That's not a good sign. Second, there wasn't any kind of reaction to it. That should have been a big moment, with Ryder bringing it to the other council members and seeing their reactions, then having a discussion about whether to share it with the public or not... But there was nothing. And that happened too often with the side quests.
After playing 70 hours worth of the game, effectively completing all of its content, I have to say that some of it is boring and the length of exploring a system is terribly forced, but it is a worthwhile addition to the franchise.
Played 68 hours in the first week after release, it was brilliant. Gladly I didn't encounter 90% of the glitches others are claiming, there were a few annoying here and there but it was perfectly playable and didn't ruin the gameplay, only the immersion a little sometimes. Overall it was a really, really good and solid game, loved it, totally worth the money!
This game really wasn't that bad. Now's a great time to get into it since all the launch bugs have been ironed out. It wasn't as strong character and storywise as the Mass Effect OT but nowhere near deserving of the 6/10 some game sites ratred it. Easily an 8/10. Thanks to the haters we may never get the Quarian Ark DLC or any extra story content.
How can anyone tolerate EA making a game with a pre-2000 animation quality?
You talk about "haters", but these people are upset that a game they paid for to be finished over a year ago took months to be playable. I swear, only video game nerds could make excuses for these multi million dollar games with poor launches. Meanwhile if a movie released at your theater and wasn't finished, you'd be asking for the manager to get your money back faster than you could order a season pass of DLC.
EA enablers like you really make me happy I don't pay into their "Open beta at release" program.
Bad animation but the rest of the game deserves 8/10. I didn't face any bugs or glitches in the latest version.

I can't say I hate this game, because I physically can't hate Mass Effect, but by God did it disappoint me. There is absolutely no sense of effort or care put into anything. Everything, from the story to the characters to the dialogue to the gameplay, is just generic, by-the-numbers open-world nonsense. Like they said, it's basically a crappy direct-to-DVD sequel. I don't know if Bioware just has a different team these days, or if they just stopped caring after 3, but this game was beyond disappointing.

Gameplay was sacrificed for things like shoehorning a transgender into the game... who you only find out is transgender by an unnecessarily long conversation delve with a character that was nothing more than a fetch quest giver. Seriously, there was no reason to really interact with this person, much less find out their backstory, much less find out their REAL backstory. That was a lot of time spent on something the game really didn't need.

I honestly don't think I had one major glitch. And I only remember one minor one where during one scene my character's head rotated around like an owl's head. Other than that it was a very glitch-free game and had an interesting story
