  • The words to “Qassaman” were written in 1956 in Sirkazhi-Barberousse Prison in Algiers, where the author Moufdi Zakaria was incarcerated by the French colonial forces. The poem was put into music, first by Mohamed Triki in 1956, then by the Egyptian composer Mohamed Fawzi and became the national anthem upon independence on July 5th, 1962. The anti-French sentiments of the third verse result in this verse occasionally being left out of performances, however the verse remains an official part of the text.

    ترغب الجزائر في رؤية فرز في العالم العربي، ومن أجل تعزيز التضامن بين الدول العربية من الضروري مراجعة مبدأ تشغيل الجامعة العربية بالأغلبية. ولا يزال المقر موجوداً في مصر دون أن تتدخل الدولة المصرية في الشئون الإدارية للدوري، مع العلم أن الدولة المصرية منذ وفاة جمال عبد الناصر فشلت على كافة الأصعدة. يجب علينا الآن أن نقول ما هو الخطأ. ومراجعة سياسة الجامعة العربية الأصيلة والثابتة على أساس متين ومخرج من هذا الوضع المهين. آملين ألا يبقى العرب في حالة من الفوضى ليضعوا سياسة واضحة وواضحة على المستوى الدولي، وليعرف العالم على أي نار نرقص عليها.

    Très mauvaise interprétation de cet hymne magnifique, classé parmi les plus beau au monde?
    Au lieu d!une interprétation lyric, on un un morceau musical découpé par le son des trompettes !
    Il suffit de l'écouter aux JO de Paris, à Berlin lors des déplacements de Boutefllika pour voir la différence et sa véritable beauté, ...Pas de trompettes !
