Probably because it was designed with the halo in mind already When they were introduced in 2018 it was for a car concept that had been originally created without it, of course over the years they've implemented it better but the origin of this era (2017) never had them
Im happy this “ reset “ is happening, it allows people who came to into a new team this season, like Perez in RedBull and Danny in MC. It will basically allow the drivers to learn together

Also in the future we might not hear of him too often, as he has stated that once he retires he wants to leave the paddock behind completely and just focus on living quietly with his family, which on the other hand he totally deserves. @Jeffry Chen I mean, I'm not a professional F1 driver, so I wouldn't know much. But each driver has preferences, such as downforce, comfort, etc... While these can be adjusted by ur mechanics and engineers, there really are stuff that each driver likes and dislikes.

Why? This car should’ve been the car for 2021. Means that it was ready in summer/autumn of 2020…. Those cars are nothing new and worked on for a long time… It takes 2-3 years to get a brand new car developed unlike this years or last years cars that were just a smaller evolution.
Honestly, everybody is neglecting two major points mentioned in the release: Larger working window for the tires, and less chance of part breakage and debris strewn all across the track. Both of these points are currently a pain in races.

The cars are already shifting under their rpm limit because of fuel flow limits. There’s no performance reason for teams to rev them up to current regs, nevermind revised regs until fuel flow goes up
As long as there's a turbo, there ain't gonna be a nice sounding engine. Besides, engine sounds are way down the priority, compared with actual enjoyable, unpredictable races.
