It would be awesome to see that thing tested next to the XTR. Don't sleep on kobalt y'all.

I think the only difference is the max output battery… I can hear the rpm difference with the different batteries

I recently sold off most of my power tools so I could consolidate and get into one battery line. I chose Kobalt for the warranty and ease of service through Lowe's. I picked this up a couple of days ago and I love it.

Just curious what other power tools you have? I was looking to go with Kobalt. I need a backpack sprayer and impact wrench. Just looking to be in one platform.

@@RodSquad-Reviews I had some Dewalt and Makita tools before. Now the only one I have that isn't Kobalt is the Ryobi inflator I keep in my car. Ultimately, my main 2 priorities were being on one platform (inflator notwithstanding) and a good warranty with an easy way to utilize it if necessary. Kobalt checked both of those boxes. I don't require a huge variety of tools, though. While Kobalt doesn't have as big of a selection as other brands, it fits my needs perfectly.

@@IMPACT-NATION I currently own the xtr drill and it’s kinda top/head heavy. Kinda heavy with the 4 amp high output. Recommend getting the 2 amp but other than that it’s a good drill. Plenty of power compared to makita

@@IMPACT-NATION I have. I actually bought the XTR impact a few days before this one became available. I really loved it, but decided to return it and get the 3rd Gen impact. I don't need the extra power, and I much prefer a one-handed collet (first world problems). Both are excellent impacts at a great price, I just prefer the extra mode, smaller size, and the little bit extra convenience on the newer one.

I say this all the time on your Kobalt reviews.. I am stuck on Makita but that power in that Kobalt is insane with a 2 Amp hour. A guy I work with has the model before this one and I loved it. Honestly at this point I'm buying it. It looks a little bigger than my brushless Makita impact. However like you said never use an impact driver on lug nuts and I agree. I would feel safe using this impact driver to change a tire on your car broke down and driving home and the torque specs would probably be already tight enough lol. It's amazing how much power impact drivers lose by not having a permanent anvil to absorb more power directly to the bolt. What I'm getting at is if this model comes with an anvil on select version's I'd be extremely interested in a review by you. Your channel has become my go to for info. Tools are expensive especially mechanics tools and it's nice that you can give us a good ball park of what the tools are capable of. Your internet personality is perfect for holding viewers attention. I also like the fact nothing you do in your videos are done half ass. You give details that will answer pretty much any question you have about a tool. Thanks for the help.

Great review! Just picked this up and it is absolutely amazing. Love everything about it. Ergonomically very comfortable and feels really high quality. Performance is more than I’ll ever need for an impact driver. I also picked up their new generation mid torque impact wrench that has taken off anything on my truck that I’ve attempted including rusted over 34mm front end bolts.

I'm just so happy that Kobalt is finally launching the Ultimate output 8ah battery. I've been waiting on that for like 2 yrs now. Was told it was coming and am so happy it's here. My XTR 5 tool kit is the business the Grinder and Rotary hammer and great. I mean I'm in trades and everyone I know is like we messed up buying DeWalt, Makita, and Milwaukee, my stuff keeps right up. The only things that red has on me is the extensive line and maybe a couple tools will out preform a couple of mine but for a carpenter Kobalt has you covered with any tool you need, for like half the cost or less.

I only paid $68 on the buy more save more sale and took back to Lowe’s anyways along with the next gen 1/2 in impact - also junk. The plastics and rubber these tool are made out of are also complete garbage. Cheap as crap.

I'd like to see that new gen3 circular saw in more action. I like the blade now on the other side for right handed cutters. THNX

I have learn how the top brands tools are design to support DIY projects with their slow rotating features while simultaneously they are generally design for robust jobs. But these brands tools are typically very expensive. Not everyone have budget to Cater for expensive tools so DIY cheap alternative tools is perfect for DIY folks.

Try taking the lug nut off with a breaker bar, re-tighten the lug nut to 100 ft-lb, and try it again. It seems a lot of people experience this with lug nuts, my guess is corrosion is causing the seizure with lug nuts.
