I used to feel the same way Gremlin!!! Until I went to AA and quit drinking! I just celebrated 12 years of sobriety 01/25/2010 and my life has changed dramatically for the better! My raps, my family, my friends, my career have all gotten better! Hmu if you ever wanna talk, chill, grab something to eat. From one broken person to another! And one rapper to another! Real shit! Straight up!

Absolutely brought me to tears, brother. For a multitude of reasons.
There are parts I can relate to that turned my skin inside out making me realize how much healing I truly need to do to not end up so low in the dark pit of self deprecating thoughts sinking me deeper that I stay there and lose everything. I am so scared, and many things have been telling me to have more faith and believe of the good things no matter how small they might appear...Because those 'small things' are truly my threading. This song hit me so hard that if I don't figure out a way to get things together, I'll lose what I do have. But it also showed me another angle.. Like I said, even the 'little things' are integral to my heart.
But hold too tightly and I can crush them.
I need to just breathe and take things one shuffle at a time even if I can't take a step.
Thank you for sharing this because others like me truly need to know these struggles are relatable therefore there's always a way out... Ironically this is the light in darkness I needed... To know someone else has risen up no matter how low they ended up through it all.

I don't know what place you are at now, but I just want you to know that I am here for you and I UNDERSTAND!! I have been sober for almost 15 years but only by the grace of God. I should've died 50 times over. I was addicted to every drug you can name, a walking garbage can. I NEVER thought I would get sober. After 20 years of misery, more relapses than I could ever even begin to count and numerous jail and prison sentences I stuck and stayed. Today I am one semester away from getting a Human Services degree and will be certified to be an AODA counselor. I lost my best friend and husband of 28 years to an overdose. I tell you all this to let you know that you are a survivor. You have been through so much and look where you are with your music!! Your tenacity and resilience got you to this point. You never gave up yet, and I know you won't now. Please be kind to yourself. Don't let that ratchet ass disease tell you that you are a nobody and don't deserve this shit. You got all this happiness and success coming to you bcuz you fought for it. As someone who knows the pain of substance abuse, I love you.
