It’s sad that the creepy pasta horror genre on RUclips has turned so much to action which doesn’t give off the same feels without visuals, but while the other channels are slowing making it hard to listen to the horror genre, DS is still over here making Bonechilling stories readings. I think that SFX break to show our narrator getting out of the car to open the hood was really well done, and a great way to fill out a (admittedly minimal) gap in the narration. Kudos, DS!
For real I haven’t come across another narrating channel that puts as much time and effort into there work. I look forward to hearing every story any time I get the notification that a new video is up. I wish you would do a huge series of some kind or a hella long story so I can listen to my hearts content considering I’ve literally listened to every video on hear lol. Also does thumbing up videos do anything special for you or is it just something you like to see?
If you really admire his meticulousness in constructing his narrations, why not follow his example-even a little bit-and take the time to learn what differentiates ‘there’ from ‘their’? Take some pride in how you come across in your writing.
The sound effects were so good that when he opened the hood and it made a little hiss sound, I was fully prepared to smell the car engine. Bravo for always setting the mood
That was undoubtedly the smoothest reading of a manscaped add I’ve ever heard - congrats, didn’t realize what it was until half way through and didn’t even skip ahead. Haven’t got far into the story yet, but it sounds wonderful thus far too.

As a southern I can agree. My accent isn’t that strong it’s only the ppl that live bumfucnowhere with those types. My accent only appears with certain words.
Oh, yeah. A lot of people don’t know how many Southern accents you hear from Texas to the Atlantic coast. Arkansas is much different from South Carolina, for instance. Hearing actors try to do it always sounds contrived.
THANK YOU! I grew up right where north meets south in the US and everyone from the north says I sound like a redneck. But every ACTUAL redneck in my family says I talk better than most of the Yankees they know. I mean, seriously, the slightest hint of a southern accent and they act like there's a twang, a drawl, AND a bottle of moonshine all laid out in front of them. It's borderline insane!
It honestly feels sooo good having an MC that doesn‘t treat losing a limb like the end of the f-ing world. He is so accepting of the fact that things happened, and values his life more than a limb. He is alive. Life goes on. That‘s just reality. So many authors ignore that. Also, spoilers, I guess. Sorry. I just couldn‘t hold back pointing out an immensely positive attitude in an MC.
Not there yet (not gunna be a dick about muh spoilers) but a buddy of mine lost his hands and early acceptance and making jokes saved him from the darkness.
Jack, the main character of the popular "Tales from the Gas Station" nosleep series loses a leg below the knee at the end of the first storyline and isn't especially bothered by it (although seeing as how he practically lives at a small-town gas station that is constantly beset by all kinds of eldritch horrors, and that he suffers from Fatal Familial Insomnia and is literally incapable of sleeping, and is dying slowly because of it, it only makes sense that losing a limb would be far from the worst thing he's had to deal with) (btw, if anyone cares, this isn't really much of a spoiler considering it has very little to do with the overall plot)
Also, I think it's weird you think people writers shouldn't write characters with that reaction. The "reality" is that its a very realistic and understandable reaction to have given that it's a traumatic and often life changing experience. Being upset doesn't mean you value a limb more than your life. Many authors will over time make the character accept what they've lost and THEN they'll realize life goes on. It's really weird how this story is written were he accepts it immediately cause that's just not have most people work. It's something you'd process.

The sound effect usage and occasional use of music is freaking perfect on this channel. The sounds work to pull you into a given situation, whether that is touring heaven, or getting attacked by a hitcher demon. You will feel the panic, the fear, the realizations, the music won't let you escape it. Art is supposed to evoke emotions, and the consistently high quality delivery ensures that this channel has the best sound effects ever put to creepypastas.

You hear that happening all the time, people picking up what they think are hitch hikers, only to turn around to find that the hitch hiker has vanished. Maybe the old hag was dead and she was angry that she was dead. However never thought about her as a vampire or what ever she was. Fantastic.
It could be supernatural. Or the old lady could've just been a druggie tripping out on some homemade cigarette's that she filled with stuff that had no right going in a cigarette. Crack-head powers do seem like they border on the supernatural sometimes.
NICE MORLEY REFERENCE! I commissioned a Morley hat and love it. Nobody ever knows what it's referencing and that kinda breaks my black little heart. I personally find the historic significance of the "Morley brand" both funny and fascinating for whatever reason. It has obviously tickled my pickle to hear it mentioned here, a proper ode to those who came before.

Great narration as usual. My man you are the best. I actually have a creepily similar tale. About 20 years ago I left my factory job at 11:30 pm only for my clunker Pontiac 3000 to finally give up the ghost. I started walking home, a good 20 more miles. Only one person actually came by, a morbidly obese woman in an S-10, totally top less and delivering newspapers at 2 am. As I live in southeastern Arkansas he accent was indeed grotesquely southern. I politely declined the ride.

If I close my eyes during the story, it's like watching a movie on the back of my eyelids. I am always on the lookout for new videos from you. I love stories that actually creep me out. The ones that make me too scared to sleep on another side, the ones that make want to sleep with my back against the wall. Lots of stories recently started tackling topics like drepession, anxiety etc which is a cool concept, but it sorta takes the creepy out of the pasta.
Another solid tip: invest in AAA. Well worth the $88 a year. Free towing, lockout service, battery jumpstarts, no matter what state you're in. I was in Bumfuck Nowhere, Kansas, at night, getting gas at a station that was closed but had 24hr pumps, and my asshole dog locked me out of my car. AAA sent a locksmith from the next town to rescue me. Worth 10x the price right there. ✅️
that last story was so fucking great! so well written. every once in awhile some incredible story comes along that's actually more than just scary it makes you feel something and remember it. this story had me on the edge of bed. lol wide awake at 3am. so thanks to the writer & Mr Creeps

I feel kinda bad that I fall asleep to these, but upside. I'll usually listen to each story a couple times until I get all the details. But yeah I think what makes your stories different is the atmosphere you create with sound. Hella cool! And makes sense with your interests in musical scores and sound production for film. But yeah I think what makes your stories different is the atmosphere you create with sound. Hella cool! And makes sense with your interests in musical scores and sound production for film. I think you've found something you're very good at! Which I think I've said before.
