I think she said she films a bunch of videos all at once and then they release them over time. So I’m betting this was filmed before the last one went up.
In 1963 when I was 10, my ballet teacher took me to the Capizio store in NYC for my first pointe shoe fitting. 60 years later I still remember that day. I wore Capizio Pavlova’s in size 13 (I wore I size 3 shoe!). This was the only shoe that stayed on my heel when I raised up to pointe. I am now 70 and I still have that pair of pointe shoes in a memory box!
I heartily concur about the male danseur portraying a donkey at 1:10! I was in a production of "Lion the Witch and the wardrobe and was the Pegasus. When I auditioned I used ballet slippers and the director asked if I had pointe shoes (answer? Yes, I'd been dancing on them for a few years at that time).
Josephine has "Mum brain"! The dancing duck is the same dancing duck that we told you about last time: Jemima Puddleduck from the Tales of Beatrix Potter by The Royal Ballet. (Possibly also in other companies' rep but I've only seen the Royal)
Hi Josephine! I started watching your channel back in January, and it inspired me to write an adaptation of Swan Lake which I just registered with the WGA! I am still working on it so I can put it on the Blacklist so a studio might see it!
I do not dance. I took ballet when I was like 6 for about 4 lessons however, I love these reactions. I have much more appreciation for Ballet Dancers now
Regarding pole dancing, Peter Holoda is amazing. His lines, the extensions, his fluid movements along with the power and strength are beautiful to watch.
We all started in the pavlovas where i was (30 years ago!) No pads, only lambswool or nothing- and we'd have inspections to make sure! The students had to fit the shoe, not the other way around, until they got more advanced at least. Glad we've moved on from that mentality !
WILL YOU DO A VIDEO ON TOE PADS? I’ve tried every toe pad known to man- including PerfectFit. I had such high hopes for Perfect fit because I thought- “Oooh! It molds to my toes and will feel like a 360 degree cushion!” I was so disappointed to find that the Perfectfit material felt hard and scratchy instead of spongy. I do love my pads that are at least 1/4 inches thick consisting of spongy, rubbery synthetic material. They protect me from pokes and from pressure. They keep my toes and bunions extra cushy (but still hurtsl after a while. I wonder if any toe pads really keep the feet from hurting, or it they all just HURT no matter what? Ouch Piuches feel like I’m wearing absolutely zero to cushion my feet and the tips of my toes. What I’m really looking for is a pillowy, squishy soft surrounding for my ties and wings. Why aren’t these being manufactured? I’m interested in what others think. What do you see in your stores? Thank!
dude had his thighs together so tight that they did not let go of the tutu trapped in between... the tutu let go of the rest of the tutu, dammmmmmnnnnnnn he strong legs! ❤❤❤❤❤
I saw a video that mentioned a plastic pointe shoe. It was a two-part name that sounded Russian and started with a "G. Are you familiar with this? If so, could you talk about it, please?
I saw Midsummer’s Night Dream at the ROH last month - it’s a gorgeous production and he was a very sweet Bottom! . I saw it a few years ago with Bennet Garside and he really went in on the prancing on point - a very high trot He did a video about it, and the difficulty of seeing out of the head: ruclips.net/video/7cpAfkIVQmI/видео.htmlsi=v5IWJSV_FPuS3RmI. The video shows them in rehearsals with Christopher Carr, who’s noted for his Ashton coaching - apparently when he’s in the building the corridors ring to the sound of him shouting “bend!” to get that Ashton line through the back. Sarasota Ballet were guesting and well worth going to see if you’re in Florida - they are keeping a lot of the Ashton rep alive in their programming
At what point are you just putting cardboard in your pointe shoes and just hoping for the best?! I am a classical musician who supports you, but I am just curious! Some shoe decisions don't make sense to me!
I can't believe no one told you since last time - the duck is Jemima Puddleduck and it's Beatrix Potter :)
Yes, it was mentioned the last time, but I guess she didn't see the comment

@@amykathleen2 Oh ok, that makes sense!
Some costume person just burst into tears at that last one
BIG gay gasp, at that tear. Like, NOOOOO!
4:03 he’s doing literally what the ballet steps mean in french. 😂😂

That’s absolutely precious. 💖

As an adult ballet student, I must learn that arm positions song!
the poledance she did are actual poledance shapes poledancers do! because many shapes are inspired by ballet afaik
in fact there’s a shape called “ballerina”
Love these!! I'm not even in ballet I just looooove Josephine
That Jemima Puddle Duck reel is so Eden from Ballet Reign coded
That was my first thought!
I do, Pole, and there are so many moves that are pretty much inspired by ballet.
the duck is jemima puddle duck and its a beatrix potter ballet
I had the books and VHS tapes of the animated version as a kid

It only exists as a film. Even the RB never did it on stage.
@@jessaglenny While he was director of the company, Anthony Dowell made it into stage production in the 1990s. I saw it at the Opera House in 1992.

saaame, I need to know about that guy punching the spiderman plushie, that was so funny!
It's the Ashton version of Midsummer Night's Dream that has Bottom on pointe.
Yes, entitled The Dream. It's my favorite.

I’d love it if you dropped your skincare routine! Your skin is gorgeous!! 😍🤩
I wish I‘d never stopped doing ballett watching these videos
Josephine, you commented about the animal ballet a couple of week ago, too. It's "The Tales of Beatrix Potter." SHE is Jemima Puddleduck.
I love your content my friend actually had a fitting with you recently
Adding to the choir, please credit the tiktokers! Would love to see more of them, but i have no idea how to find them :(

Is it just me but l eat takis watching this
I’ve taken a pole ballet class. Elena Gibson is the best at it
Was the guy dancer wearing a t-shirt for shorts???
Anyone know the tiktoker in the second to last video? The one who took her outsoles off and did the zig zag?
Will you react to Kazuha from Le Sserafim doing pointe?
Please review The Red Shoes film from 1948.
Josephine you need to react to ai ballet
3:34 i mean, same tho, i would just like to be a silly goose, no gracefulness, just goose.

I feel men should be given the opportunity to do pointe. I'm sure it would strengthen them even more ven if they can't use it in shows.
Wait, why did I never realize men don't usually dance on pointe?

You can tell she's a pole dancer who added a bit of ballet to it because her feet aren't all banged up.
