I really enjoyed the re-records they did for GH. Steven Tyler's voice ages like a fine wine, and the maturity of it was exceptionally good on this one.
When they did guitar hero they asked permission to have aerosmith as the face of the gamr and in doing so grabbed the bands attention to make remastered covers strictly for the game steven tyler was extremely young when he sang dream on
Every time that I look in the mirror All these lines on my face getting clearer The past is gone Oh, it went by like dusk to dawn Isn't that the way? Everybody's got their dues in life to pay, oh, oh, oh I know nobody knows Where it comes and where it goes I know it's everybody's sin You got to lose to know how to win Half my life's in books' written pages Storing facts learned from fools and from sages You view the earth Oh, sing with me, this mournful dub Sing with me, sing for a year Sing for the laughter, and sing for the tear Sing with me, if it's just for today Maybe tomorrow, the good Lord will take you away Oh, sing with me, sing for the year Sing for the laughter, and sing for the tear Sing it with me, if it's just for today Maybe tomorrow, the good Lord will take you away Dream on Dream on I dream on Dream a little, I'll dream on Dream on I dream on I dream on Dream a little, I'll dream on Dream on Dream on Dream on I'll dream on Dream on Dream on I dream on
Fun fact: This video has 916 likes (currently), which is a reversed version of its note count on Expert Guitar. (619) Edit: Also, if I remember correctly, since I never had the DLC for it, I'm pretty sure the GHIII version has 622 notes on Expert Guitar.
As long as your voice isn't too deep, you should be able to do it. You just need some practice, but don't try to strain yourself too much. Edit: Honestly, if you're straining/hurting yourself with it, you're probably doing it wrong. You most likely should try getting a similar sound, but without the strain included. It's possible. Trust me.
The 1973 version is better, in that version , the guitar was slightly out of tune as can be heard during the quiet solo spots. After 50 years of hearing that imperfect original, this new version with correctly tuned guitar just doesn't have the character of the original, dude. And since I grew up with 70's and 80's music, I have a natural aversion to studio recordings that are robotically perfect. Songs that have true soul are those made by real musicians playing real instruments. For example, "Two of Hearts", by Stacey Q, and "Freakazoid" by Midnite Starr.
the mix on this version is AWFUL, the overcompressed vocals and drums take away from the og + stephen just doesn't have his legendary tonality on this version, he sounds like every modern folk / dad rock singer. he sounded otherWORLDly in the og imo.

So, this is not a cover, is what you're saying

Love the original but damn this one is just amazing. His voice is great along with the guitar sounding cleaner.

This was the first song on Guitar Hero I managed to play on Expert lol.
Same here. I still play it
@@JoseHerrera-rs8kv nice 👍🏼
That's because most Aerosmith songs aren't Metallica or Iron Maiden. They're fairly easy.
@@AdamG1983 ur not wrong haha, i think back then this was the go to gh game to learn the game. gh3 was brutal on the later songs haha
Could u do it on the controller tho ? 👀

Why nobody used this version of dream on when the kratos meme was alive :,(?
I feel sad that I can’t sing this song as well as I could when I was 12. Can’t reach the high note anymore….

Does anyone have it in flac or in some lossless format other than MP3?
There is a multitracks blog on the internet, you can download them from there, in my opinion, it is the best quality you will find.
some good man may try to rip it direcly from the ADPCM or XMA hoping without too much compression

Wrong game. That would fit more with GHIII considering it has/had The End Begins (To Rock) from God of War II.
shut it i wanna vibe not thinking about a dead meme

Dude, it sounded terrible. Literally anyone can agree with that. The original was worse than the live versions.
