I guess having some structure with lighting colours, intensity, etc. and putting the values is a bit better approach than hardcoding. Not to mention you can extract some logic to methods/macros to avoid copy and paste. And thanks for the tutorial.
REFERENCE ITEM : 70-72 Camaro 2Gen circles light. Set up : 1 is : flasher, park and brake in the same bulb. 2 is : Park and Brake. (excluded backlight in the middle of the 2th cicle light) (for the flasher ive made a exclusive mesh/material link to an actor to enable the visibility and emission while tick/timer events. and after came back to non visible so you see your Park and brakes again. ) ( ive set-up some variable of intensity and color to notice the difference between each. (my parks light are at value 7 emit, 55 emit for brakes and 20 emit for flasher) For thoses who wants that config use a multigate. right after the pressed input key of your choice. for 0 = parking lights only / 1 = headlights and parking / 3 = nothing. At the end of the 3th pin of the multigate (back to all off lights) reconnect it to the reset pin :D Big Trouble : strangely my rear park light ( that use the same mats as the brakes) doesn't lit :/ i think i need a way to make the command reconize that the lights are off rn so i can turn them on ? re edit : welp things ends up way more complex than i though. needs to set-up for 3 road/command inputs of On and Off of the taillights. it's got complex since i need to tell the mat that it's stop being used. But keep the last 'gate' set-up choosen. ( i presume i need to make a special event and plug in a variable to it, so i resend the infos to the tailight and backlight system ?) but ! my 'parkinglights' is still activated and well it's ends up i only close them by 'handbraking' but they don't cameback i need to reset my multigate to getback the 25% emission setting back. what i think of is : Light input is the main command. Light into the brake/reverse + hanbrakes input. and then return to the light input state./off. (should i use a 'is pressed' nodes for the handbrakes and brakes/ reverse so i can communicate back to the Light system ? now how im suposed to do this without the knowledge XD for now it's simply an cluster 'love' of boolean nodes xD
Great video! I’m making a multiplayer game and when I set the material parameters it changer the lights of all cars and not just the car I’m controlling. Is there a way I can only set the material parameters on the locally controlled car?
Hey dude....i am doing it in chaoss...things are working...the disfference is my lights stayed on even i donr press S key...and if i press S key and cars gets into reverse, the reverse lights keeps on...any solution for that?
that's a really great tutorial, but how do i make the brake lights emit when i break after reversing ? (like moving forward after going backwards it should emit brake lights)
Sorry for late reply. This will happen if the material is not assigned to any faces / vertices of the mesh. To assign, you must first select the faces you want, then select the material, then click assign. Hope this helps.
SMOKES for real tires...and flames/sounds FX for the muffler You know...those upgrade mufflers in GTA...it'll simulate small flames. and sound FX. when you first break or let off the throttle. The cars also damage points...the engine will simulate HEAT if the engine gets damage.... Smokes/fires/explosion..when it dies. Tires also has damage...you played the game...you know. rock star has a team..to just do lights 24/7s for cars.lol Never minds all the different lights..signs and shops windows through out the city... That'a city building department...Not auto.lmao
I don't know. I had a notification of a comment the other day but when I clicked to view it, it said 'comment no longer available'. Did you swear in it or something?lol
@@Manim8 Nope lol all I did was mention how your video is a lot like a video I made and I shared it. I came back and it was gone so I typed it again. And it was gone again rofl. So it's whatever
Just checked comment filters and there's nothing there. Very strange. Also just checked out your video and I love the model you used. I used to have a 316 compact like that but in blue. There's something about the E36 BMW's that I love!
@@Manim8 Thank you that's so cool that you had a 316 compact! They never even sold those in the US where I'm from. So I actually made the model in my video and I just finished modeling the interior the other day. I should make a video showing it off and I'll see about making a blue paint material for you so you can "see' your car lol
The video is very nice . Do the car have a 3D Design? I would appreciate it if you share it with us if it is appropriate. I could not find a nice tool because I did not do 3D modeling, but I liked your tool
Hi there. Sorry I meant to put a link in the description. I will put a link to it when I get home later. If you go to blendswap.com and type BMW in the search bar, you will find it :)

Yes this is a problem I've been trying to solve too. no luck yet though. If you figure it out, please post back here to let me know 😃👍
